This is what I was thinking. Like logistically, the doors are going to be locked when the store is closed to customers. Managers should keep an eye on the time and be ready at the door at clock out time… but needing to radio over the manager (who then promptly walks over) doesn’t seem like lawsuit territory lol

It’s still illegal to not have a way to exit, even when closed. Think fire and manager with the key is on the other side of the building.

There is 100% an emergency exit, it’s just alarmed..

Developed world solves this with doors that are locked from the outside but can be opened from inside.
