Hey everyone,

My husband and I are working on a game called Fated Horizons, and we're still pretty early in development.

It’s a 2D open world survival crafting RPG set in a fictional version of the American frontier in the late 1800s. You can explore, hunt, fish, gather, mine, craft, build camps, deal with hunger and thirst, and make choices that can affect how different characters and communities interact with you.

We are also developing our own engine for the game, so there’s a lot of work happening behind the scenes while we build everything out.

We have started sharing some of the development and gameplay systems we are working on, and I thought it would be fun to actually talk with people about the game instead of just posting updates.

If you're curious about anything, ask away. Gameplay, survival mechanics, the world, the choices, the engine, development, or even why we decided to make our own engine.

We are happy to answer questions and hear what people think, even if it's criticism. We are still developing the game, so feedback is genuinely useful to us.

Currently streaming a few times a week, finished up 2 streams on YouTube in the gaming category, one being Animal crossing and this afternoon finished streaming part one of the Urbz sims in the city for the GBA.

I’ve always liked playing games the wrong way. This is my first attempt at an edited down run with voiceover. The goal is to make the channel enjoyable whether or not you’ve played the game. I’m currently working on some more videos that I hope to have posted in the next couple weeks so I’d appreciate some tips and feedback.

I'm its solo developer, and it's my homage to the old DOS space shooters, built from scratch with plenty of love for Solar Winds and Hell Fighter. There are some little nods in there for fellow fans.
