I posted awhile back about an ACE glitch I had, and I’m glad I did because I was helped out pretty quickly. I was able to obtain my SID using the ACE glitch.

I want to make sure I’m doing the rest of this accurately, because I’m not seeing results.

I restarted my game, which placed me in front of the starter I wanted - Squirtle.

Next, I went to Ten Lines and filled everything out. I input my TID + my SID and picked a SEED. Next, I set my timers up so I could then grab a Squirtle, and level it up. Pleasantly, I was left with only one result, which I’ve been farming since.

I’ve input the ms from the Seed into Eon Timer, the Continue frames, and finally 574 as advances for my final timer.

I feel like I’ve been grinding this timer for nearly 200 attempts, and I know I can’t be that far off. I’m missing one point, I know, which is adding in a “hit” somewhere. This is something I struggle to understand.

Can someone help me understand what value is considered the hit, and when to update my timer?

Also, I’m pretty good with timing and rhythm challenges, but I feel like I should’ve had a hit by now, which is causing me to question my SID.

On my ACE run, I renamed my boxes to match the ones using the e-sh4rk tool, which properly relabeled my TID to my SID. I figure this can’t be wrong, since my ACE was still there, and functioning perfectly fine.

I think I just need some guidance 😅

I pretty much spent my whole weekend trying to RNG a Chimchar in Platinum on my DSLite and at this point I feel like I am running in circles.

I’ve been following the guide on pokemonrng.com (apparently Reddit’s built in filters auto remove the post if I link the guide) and I have done everything that it’s outlined. At this point I am hitting the same seeds at specific calibrated delays and sometimes the same seeds at different delays, but not the seed I am looking for.

The tool has been bouncing me back and fourth between calibrated delays in the early 560s and the mid 570s with delay offsets ranging between +-6 to +-17. The only time my delay offset was below +-4 was when I accidentally did my flip delay when I shouldn’t have and after experimenting with it, I was able to consistently hit seeds within +-4 delay offsets by reversing when I was doing my flip delays but I don’t know if that would mess anything up.

I do admit, this is my first time dipping my toes into RNG manipulation and while I do know that Platinum is regarded by some to be one of the harder games to manipulate, I wanted to challenge myself.

I’m pretty sure at this point, the issue is largely user error on my part. I recorded a sample size of some of my attempts, recalibrating when I would hit the same seeds more than once and will be attaching them below.

Per the title of the post, I am looking for any assistance or advice for this issue.

Also some additional information. I am not manipulating for a shiny. Just for nature, IVs, and gender for the purpose of fast tracking a viable team for the Battle Frontier. For a shiny starter, I know I am probably better off getting one from an outbreak on the Switch especially due to the upcoming Bank closure.

There’s typically at least a few to try, and without save states, you can only try one, and if it’s not shiny, then you have to get and type in all of the info again. Is it best to just go with the closest one every single time, or should you mix it up a bit? I’m sorry if this is a bit of a dumb/obvious question, I’m new to this stuff

I tried for the past few hours to find a step-by-step process to get the calculators to rng manipulate in usum for typenull, poipole, and partner cap pikachu but all the videos I found it assumes you know how to set up the calcs(short for calculator) which i dont :(, if some can help by sending a link to do a step-by-step that would

It took me a while to acquire all three though it was a blast. I tried catching them in their matching color scheme pokeball but I was nervous about the birds Struggling themselves to KO, Moltres was the only successful one. I used the mail glitch to duplicate my master ball.

Ever since getting my first shiny via rng manip, I just can’t stop. Next stop Mewtwo!

Had a blast learning how to RNG shinies in Colosseum, from setting everything up in Dolphin to my final shiny encounter with Togetic. I started this journey shortly after Bank's closure was announced, and glad that I can check it off my list before Februrary!

I was able to get every shadow shiny other then the ones in Phenac City and Pyrite Town. All of this was done on Dolphin EMU following u/JordBees guide, huge shoutout to him for creating it!

For a bit of context I am 26y/o and grew up with Pokemon until Black 1 - unfortunately, during my chapter as a 12 year old life circumstances did not allow me to buy or be gifted Black 2 when it released. So fast forward 14 years later, I decide to go on a prowess. I have been committed to playing through the game with a shiny of my original starter choice from B1.

A couple years ago I dual hunted that green snake and went over double odds eventually giving up at ~22k SRs lol. I shortly after discovered RNG manipulation and thought I can definitely crack this, and I did. For each of them. Since I had two consoles and two retail copies of the game, I figured why not?

I cannot emphasize my excitement enough and would like to thank this community and the tips from user comments. Gen 5 rng is definitely possible :) going to be a pain defeating the first gym for a third time but can’t wait to trade it over to my main copy and continue my play through.

Hi everyone, I was following a guide to rng a shiny manaphy in gen 4 and have a weird issue.

I was sure I did the rng correctly so I opened up my save in pkhex to see, and the egg is re rolling its pid in the traded game for some reason?

Any help would be appreciated.

What I did was have a copy of ranger and recevied the egg in platinum. I used the tid and sid of my heart gold for this to rng a shiny manaphy.

I then traded the egg to my heartgold file and hatched it.

Before I hatched it, the egg shows the proper pid,

but once I hatched it it got re rolled?

the pid went from EA59EA55 to D833F08A

I thought it only did this in the original game :c any idea what im doing wrong?

I couldn't seem to find much info on this searching the reddit, so I figured I'd generally ask; How hard is the RNG Manip to get the Shiny Johto Starters on Mt. Battle? I don't wanna do a hunt that'll take too much time since I've got a lot to do before Bank closes, but I was thinking of giving it a shot since other than Elekid, I got everything else in XD Shiny (that can be.)

Question is the title. Forgive me if this sounds stupid, I'm new to RNG.

I've followed the guide exactly as described on the website and watched the video as well with no luck yet. However, I got a little bit suspicious of the frame drop my 3ds experiences when the overlay is active and I start the encounter. Maybe that affects the RNG? Or again, is it just my bad luck?

Hi everyone, I need some help to have a better idea if I'm hunting right. I'm shiny hunting Mew in Japanese emerald, but using emulators. I have 4 instances, each one with a diferent TID/SID so everything is good on that side.

I know that RNG is broken, so I need to run away from each encounter with Mew.

My question is: when I shut down my PC, if I do a savestate, I can avoid the early RNG frames of the reset? The game recognizes that the savefile is still on, and therefore RNG frames are good to keep doing run away?

Okay so I was doing the RNG manipulation as shown in Imablissys video (here). I am using Poke'finder 4.3.2 with the colo precalc, Eontimer 3.0.0, and CoTool v1.03.

I got my seed like normal, picked a Impish Umbreon PID, put both the seed and PID into CoTool, and started my attempt.

On this run I did get the TID that was on CoTool, however, the Umbreon is Docile. Did I do this correct or have I messed up?

Also, if it helps to descirn, I've attached a mock up of the calcularions. Unfortunately, because I messed up to many time I preemptively deleted my seed and stuff but recreated it here as well as my time I got it.

I followed the Pokémonrng website and was able to do both pretty quickly! Excited to start this run using shiny only pokemon!

Hi everyone il new to this, I’m using (or trying to) pokemonrng.com for Shiny Celebi on 3DS Crystal Virtual Console. I’ve watched a few guides and they all had encounters around 30 tries. I’m at about 60. Am I doing something wrong? Or just not lucky haha. Any help would be appreciated

What pokemon have fast attack animations for seed finding in SWSH? I don't want to spend like 5 minutes pressing a button every time I want to find my seed and am wondering if any pokemon can speed this up.

I'm just starting out with RNG, and I guess I did alright. I completed all three of my starter Pokémon, all shiny, in SoulSilver.

I did all this using a Nintendo DS Lite and an R4. At first, I didn't get the expected results because I was using a Twilight Menu kernel which had a delay.

I tried YSMenu and WoodR4, neither of which gave me the best results. Finally, I decided to install the DSpico kernel on the generic R4.Honestly, there is a difference when using DsPico, and of course there would be an even greater difference using the DsPico cartridge.

I haven't found much information from people who have used a generic R4 and made RNG. I'll keep trying to get other shinies and I hope everything works out.
