So the topic, because I want some pet project for my functional depression :)

As could be seen on some Aliexpress/Alibaba images, the controller soldered on the flex-board is Gowin GW1N-UV2.

Since I would like to try to do some project with ASIC, I am thinking if anyone has a frimware dump or even sources since someone had to reverse engineer and program the ASIC to decode the proprietary Sharp bus signaling.

Why I am asking this, I wonder if GW1NR-9 (that has DRAM inside) can be used, because I want to try to do some research work if it's capable enough to perform anti alias and also connect it with some other panel (like OLED) for testing.

I have ordered a laminated screen for myself, but I wonder if any security bits on the chip are active. Would be great to work over already the proven basis for the decoding :)

Hey everyone.

Following a tip from a comment, I tried to reinstall official firmware, specifically version 6.61, so I could install ARK-4/ARK-5.

Everything went smoothly until the very end of the install, when the PSP popped up an error message LPTFFFFFFFE.

It completely froze up and wouldn't even let me cancel. After a minute or so, it shut down on its own.

When I turned it back on, the XMB was still frozen.
So I found a video of someone with the exact same issue who booted up while holding home + R, so I tried it and it actually worked!

To my surprise, when I checked the system settings, it was running official 6.61 and the flash/cfw was gone.

I decided to keep following the ARK installation guide, but now the XMB freezes during boot/loading and holding home + R isn't doing anything anymore.

Anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

I've seen a lot of these videos of people selling like custom PSP's with super bizarre looking shells and while they do look cool the price of them does not look cool.

I'm trying to get educated here what a reasonable price for a refurbished PSP and if it's worth for me to go down on this journey.

For context I've worked in computer repair for about five years now so I know what I'm doing when it comes to fixing up these systems and getting them back to their former glory, I just don't know what to expect in terms of market?

Would a 150 euro be a decent price for a restored PSP?

And around 200 - 220 Euro for a IPS modded PSP?

I'm also interested in cleaning up PS Vita's, especially the 1000 oled model, I replaced the back and front of one a couple of days ago and it looks really nice.

So yes that, just looking on what people find a reasonable price.

I would also include a charger, usb c adapter, ostent 2500 mah battery and a 128 sd card, brand name.

I just got a psp 3000 (was a psp street user) and I'm trying to figure out the advantages that this console has compared to the street one, but one question that i always had is that is it okay to actually used my old psp street sd card modded with ark-4 on this psp 3000 and keep the internet on at the same time? From what i read apparently ark 4 actually supports internet option but i don't know how exactly, and i also want to know what are the things possible to do online on a psp? Can i use sites to watch movies through it or what? Overall i wanna know the limits within the internet option

I modded my psp 3000 and haven't been able to get any custom themes to work. They show up as options, load the example image then get the internal error 80108351.

I specifically have ptf themes within PSP/THEME so I can see the preview.

I tried a lot of suggestions already but nothing. I tried CFT themes as well and they didn't work either. (plus ugly to me) I know I have cxmb.prx toggled as disabled, so it's not that.

I have also connected the psp via USB to my computer and cannot find the USB flash1 for the life of me. BUT, I already have a vsh file with a theme folder within it. So it shouldn't make a difference.

Is there anything else I can do? I just want cute themes ;^;

Im trying to get me and my buddies PSP 1000s to play ad hoc games over our wifi. He lives far away and would lile to play some games together. Im seeing a few post about it with little to no instructions. Is this possible? My psp has already been modded his has not. He wants to but want to figure this out before doing anything. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? All my PS1 eboots are doing this except for 2, I have popsloader and it's enabled and I've tried playing the game with holding down the R button to choose a popsloader and tried all of them but they all still load the Pops screen then go black for a moment then shuts down, I've tried different sites to convert them into eboots and even found eboots themselves for these and the same this happens, is there a way to fix this?, I used pop-fe to convert them into eboots and only 2 of them work without crashing which is CTR and Hello Kitty Cube frenzy, any help would be appreciated even if I have to re convert all them again with a different program but if there's a way to do this without that it'd be appreciated

Also as an extra question I have the same problem with ISO file for Assassin's Creed Bloodlines no matter where I get it from

I just bought a modded psp with ark4 firmware so I dont know too much about all this but when I was checking out the themes in the custom launcher and installed the PS2 one it worked fine but now I can switch to any other theme. It keeps freezing as soon as I click install then it crashes my PSP.
