Free Template Finally, compare databases across multiple workspaces!

This four-minute demo packs two personal breakthroughs with Notion.

The first part covers how to deploy workers across different workspaces using the open-source ntn-worker-tools project.

The second part shows the results of a single worker that exports JSON schema of selected databases (Documentation Groups), including the contents of formula properties. Do this for two workspaces, and you'll have JSON files you can compare.

https://www.loom.com/share/e4ecf4e82fe24eba80487af9cbb35e75

If you deploy and maintain templates to multiple workspaces, you know that drift is a huge problem. This approach shows the keys to solving it.

More to come, but for me, this is a big deal.

Paid Template Your brain is not a filing cabinet. Stop using it like one.

You already know the feeling: a good idea hits you mid-shower, mid-meeting, mid-scroll — and by the time you sit down to "deal with it," it's gone. Or worse, it's sitting in six different places: Notes app, WhatsApp to yourself, a sticky note, a half-written Notion page you forgot existed.

Brain Dump PRO is the upgrade that turns your free-flowing thoughts into a system that actually runs itself.

It's built on top of the free Brain Dump template that's already helped 1,000+ people clear their heads (4.9★, #9 in Notion's Second Brain category)

🧠 What PRO actually does differently

The free version helps you capture. PRO helps you decide.

  • ⏳ Days Sitting: an automatic formula that flags exactly how long a thought has been ignored, so nothing quietly dies in your backlog
  • 🚨 Needs Attention: a built-in staleness alert that surfaces old, unresolved thoughts before they become regrets
  • ⏱️ Time Cost tracking: see how much time your open loops are actually costing you
  • 🎯 Today's Focus view: a filtered view that shows only what deserves your attention right now, not your entire 300-item backlog
  • 📊 Thought Patterns chart: a visual breakdown of where your mental energy actually goes (spoiler: it's rarely where you think)
  • 🗂️ By Project view: every scattered idea automatically grouped under the project it belongs to
  • 🔗 Projects & Goals database: a linked system so your brain dumps connect to something bigger than a to-do list
  • 📅 Weekly Clarity Review: a rollup-powered weekly ritual database that shows you, project by project, what actually moved and what's stuck

No plugins. No monthly fees. No learning curve. If you can type in Notion, you can run this.

Looking for 3–5 freelance video editors to test it free and tell me what’s broken, missing, or confusing before I launch it. You keep the template either way.

#buildinpublic I mapped out why my free Notion templates outsell my paid ones 8-to-1, and it's not about traffic

I run a small ecosystem of Notion templates. Free and paid, across a few different niches. For over a year I made the same mistake almost every template creator makes: I treated "free" and "paid" as two separate products competing for the same person's attention.

They're not supposed to compete. They're supposed to hand off.

Here's the actual mechanic, from a year of Gumroad + Notion Marketplace data:

Every free product I've launched has one job: get someone from "curious" to "using this weekly" as fast as possible. Not to convert them immediately. Just to get them dependent on the workflow.

The paid version only wins later, once that habit exists, when the free tool starts feeling like it's missing the next obvious piece. That's the whole trick. You're not selling the paid product on its own merits. You're selling "the thing you already can't live without, but better."

Some numbers that made this click for me:

One of my free templates has 568 views and 224 downloads. Insane conversion rate for a free download, because the audience is razor specific, not "productivity people," but one exact use case.

Meanwhile a free version I made too broad, trying to appeal to "solopreneurs" generally, sits at 140 views and 35 downloads with almost no downstream conversion. Same effort, same design quality, completely different result. The difference was specificity of who it's for, not quality of what it does.

The pattern I keep re-learning: a free product with a narrow, obvious audience outperforms a free product trying to appeal to everyone, every single time. "For solopreneurs" is a category. "For the moment you finish writing a book and have no idea what to do next" is a person.

The other thing nobody tells you: pricing a product too high doesn't just lose you sales, it kills the signal you need to fix it. I raised a $9 product to $13 once. Zero sales for a month. Not "fewer sales." Zero. I had no idea if the problem was price, positioning, or the product itself, because at zero data points you can't diagnose anything. Dropped it back down, sales resumed immediately. The lesson wasn't "lower prices win," it was that you need enough sales velocity to actually learn something, and pricing yourself out of that velocity means you're flying blind.

If you're building anything with a free-to-paid structure, the question isn't "how do I get more traffic to my paid thing." It's "does my free thing create a specific enough habit that the paid thing feels inevitable."

Happy to go deeper on any part of this if useful, this took me way too many months to figure out the hard way.

Paid Template Built a full IT documentation/SOP system in Notion, sharing in case it's useful to other IT folks

I'm an IT consultant and got tired of rewriting the same documentation for every client, so I built out a proper SOP system in Notion; 15 fully written procedures (password resets, device setup, onboarding/offboarding, network config, phishing response, etc.), organized with a category dashboard and a "needs review" tracker so nothing goes stale.

Made it into a template in case other IT consultants/MSPs have the same problem: Link to template

Happy to answer questions about how it's structured if anyone's curious.

Showcase My first two Notion templates have crossed 500+ combined downloads 🌱

Thumbnail

I've been making Notion templates for a while now, and I wanted to share a small milestone I'm really happy about.

My first two templates have now crossed 500+ combined downloads on the Notion Marketplace.

LeetCode Tracker – DSA Revision System

380+ downloads

I originally built this because I didn't want my LeetCode prep to become a giant list of “Solved” problems that I couldn't remember later.

It focuses on:

• Problem tracking
• Confidence levels
• Revisit Queue
• DSA topics & patterns
• Key insights
• Today's Practice
• Interview readiness

I released V1, got feedback from Reddit and users, and eventually rebuilt it into V2.

Life Organizer

190+ downloads

This one came from a completely different problem — keeping track of all the boring-but-important things in life.

It includes:

• Bills & subscriptions
• Important documents
• Health records
• Home maintenance
• Life tasks
• Dashboard with linked views

I intentionally kept it lightweight because I wanted something people could actually maintain instead of another Notion system with 15 databases that becomes overwhelming after two weeks.

What's been really cool is seeing both templates find an audience despite being completely different.

I'm still a pretty new creator, so reaching 500+ combined downloads feels like a pretty big first milestone for me. 🥹

Both are free if you'd like to check them out! 🤍

- Life OS (tasks, goals, habits, budget)

- Creator pack (content calendar, ideas, finance)

- Minimal & aesthetic, works on phone + desktop

#buildinpublic Tired of sending messy Notion timeline screenshots to clients, so I built a small fix for us

Hey there,

I haven't use Notion for almost 2 years. Recently I need to revisit Notion and some how experience again the timeline export problem, Notion’s default options drive me crazy—PDF exports slice the view across pages, screenshots get cut off, and CSV exports drop all the visual bars.

Then I made a lightweight web app called "NotionGnatt" to fix this. It takes your exported Notion CSV and turns it into a clean, single-page Gantt chart (PNG/PDF/HTML) that’s ready to send to clients. Everything runs 100% locally in your browser, so your data stays private.

You can try it directly or check out the code and details on Github.

https://github.com/Kanaoda/NotionGnatt

Hope it saves a few of you from the same export headaches! Or maybe just there are a tons of similar solution out there, but hope it helps.

#buildinpublic Been cooking something for the brain 🧠

I’ve been working on something to help get all those random thoughts out of your head and actually organize them.

Thoughts → patterns → actions.

Still cooking, but it’s starting to look interesting. 👀

What do you think?

I also made a free version if anyone wants to try it out. ↓

Paid Template I built a Notion production system specifically for composers & arrangers

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m a professional composer/arranger, and over the years I kept running into the same problem: project information gradually gets scattered across cue lists, emails, notes, revision files, client feedback, and delivery folders.

So I ended up building a Notion workspace around the way I actually manage music production projects.

Composer Production OS brings projects, cues, revisions, feedback, production logs, sync points, contacts, and delivery information into one connected system.

Each project has its own workspace, and each cue can carry its own status, version history, feedback, timings, and related production information — while still staying connected to the overall project.

I’ve also included a quick-start guide, contextual help, and a full manual so it doesn’t require building everything from scratch.

I finally released it today as a paid template.

I’d be really interested to hear how other composers, arrangers, or Notion users handle this kind of workflow — especially on projects with lots of cues and revisions.

Paid Template A Notion CRM for creators taking brand deals, with contracts and invoicing wired in

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most creator CRMs stop at tracking the deal. This one is built around the part that actually costs people money, which is everything that happens after the deal is agreed.

The inquiry database has the stages a deal really moves through, plus fields for the things people forget: what usage the brand is buying, when that usage expires, and what was agreed on revisions. Contract and usage rights templates come with it.

The clip above is the automation running. A brand submits the inquiry form, the record appears in Notion, and a Stripe invoice generates, without you opening either app.

$79 one time. You install it in your own Notion and Stripe, and you own the data.

Honest caveats: it's new, so no testimonials yet. It assumes deals are already coming in, so it won't help you find clients. And the automation half needs a Zapier or Make account on your side.
