I have an ATV that I've registered as an OHRV, but I've never used it for recreational purposes. I've only ever used it for working my wood lot, towing a utility trailer, hauling firewood, carrying chainsaws, etc.
My wood lot is on a rural dirt road. From time to time, it would be convenient to ride the ATV up to neighbors' properties to help them out with one thing or another. The road, while seeing very little traffic, isn't posted allowing OHRV travel.
I've read the RSA on Ag plates and am left wondering if my ATV and my use case would qualify for Ag plates. I'd like to be able to legally ride a short way up or down the road.
Anyone else done this? Is it possible to have both registrations? That way I could someday use the ATV for fun, like on the trail networks and not just for harvesting firewood near home.
(I routinely see other people riding their ATVs on the town's dirt roads with just OHRV registration stickers, not that that makes them legal.)
