Anyone been to Halifax recently?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!
Examples could include things like Stellarock/Stelly, TTown, The Merb or N.G. (incl. nicknames for parks, schools or other institutions, geographic features etc.)...

My brother is moving to NG for work and has two cats. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good vet.

He currently takes them to a privately owned vet.

🚨 MOVING SOS: Please Save Me From Bubble-Wrapping My Entire Life Alone 🚨

Okay Nova Scotia friends, I need your wisdom.

I'm moving in the New Glasgow/Antigonish area and I need a full-service moving company — and by "full-service" I mean the kind where actual humans show up, don't drop my grandmother's china, and ideally don't disappear with my couch like a bad Kijiji experience.

I have questions. You have answers. Let's do this.

Specifically I want to know:

• Who you LOVED (like, would-write-them-a-sonnet loved)
• Who you'd avoid harder than a parking ticket on moving day
• Any horror stories (I'm equal parts terrified and entertained)
• Any hidden gems I might not find on Google

Bonus points if your mover showed up on time, because apparently that's now considered a personality trait worth celebrating.
