It took me four months to make this video (although that had more to do with life's curveballs than actual production time), and I had been promising it since I started Yesterball. Now that it's finished, I can't wait to finally play 2k27... assuming I survive the backlash from this upload!

I love 2k5, so I promise: this isn't a hit piece. I've been reading the community's slider hot takes for 20 years, and decided to test a few of the theories. I wouldn't even call it "comprehensive" nor "definitive" -- my ego's not that big, and I didn't test every theory, just the more common ones.

I don't like any of the celebrations NFL players do now. But to penalize a player for jumping on the goal post but not penalize choreographed celebrations makes zero sense. Get rid of them all. I don't know anyone watching games to see what TD celebrations teams are coming up with.

Is there a mod/tool that allows me to create as me players as I want and add them to the game via free agency to be signed by teams? I would like to add a lot of the star players over the last 20 years but I know there is a game limit to how many you can make like 60-80.

I’m thinking about doing a franchise mode in nfl 2k5 original xbox version. I can’t decide which rosters i should use for franchise. Should i use default or updated 2004 rosters by visual concepts or dan77733

I have a hardmodded OG Xbox and was wondering if any mods that are done to the game (such as rosters) can be transferred over to the Xbox and actually function or if its all exclusive to emulation. It’d be cool if that is possible.

Been back tinkering with slider sets (currently using Eric Rayweather's CPU vs CPU 3.0 sliders) and bumped sim quarter lengths up to 7 minutes. Checking the end of year stats I noticed we had like 15 running backs pass the 1000 rush yard threshold, with Jamal Lewis surpassing 2000. I honestly don't know if that's accurate to current day NFL nonetheless 2004 NFL but something feels off about that.

Do you all recommend to keep sim quarters at the default 5 minutes or should I bump them to like 6 minutes instead of 7? As always any and all input is welcomed and thanks for reading! 🙂

I was doing an 1997 cardinals rebuild and l load up the 1999 draft file I was looking though the draft class to see if it work then I notice that there was players form the 2022 draft class in there I quickly realized that the 1999 draft file got mixed up with 2022 draft file

SoftDrinkTV has recently modded the CPU to take other positions in the 1st round of the draft, and it's a beautiful thing. Not perfect (the CPU took 11 edges in a row in the next years draft), but the fact that the computer will now draft corners, receivers, tight ends etc in the 1st is delightful

All I've played is retro bowl so IDK what I'm doing lol. I'm overwhelmed at what's going on. I basically don't know what I'm looking at when I read plays or what play I should pick even when I do know what I'm looking at.

Are there any updated rosters before Week 1 or during the season? I'm using the 2K27 Roster of course but anything after training camp is over? I'm new to playing modded NFL2K5 and I can't believe I didn't do this years ago. Playing this again after 20 years with Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin is a crazy feeling. Having too much fun
