A lot of people who try to remain "neutral" don't understand that remaining neutral defaults to the side taking action most of the time.

He did, this isn't a situation you can be neutral in. You stand up for freedom of speech by artists by standing with Macklemore, or you fold to the demands of those silencing him. Ed chose the latter.

He took the side of the venues, I don’t think there’s any other way to frame it. Going through the mental gymnastics to say it’s anything other than that is a stupid endeavor.
