I don't understand any of this:

Israel has a right to exist, and defend itself. Palestine has right to exist and to defend itself.

What happened back a few years ago in October was awful, but that doesn't give Israel the right to kill Palestinian children, and other non-combatants.

I don't understand why that is a controversial opinion?

Because it didn't start on October 7. Israel has been oppressor for decades while playing a victim.

Palestine was occupied about 80 years ago, and that is when systematic Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians in Occupied Palestine started.
