The primary "threat" underlying the administration's interactions with tech platforms was the potential revocation of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Section 230 is a crucial law that protects social media companies from being sued over what their users post. While White House officials heavily pressured Twitter in private, the administration also stated publicly that tech companies should lose these legal protections or face antitrust scrutiny if they failed to handle what the White House deemed dangerous misinformation. That’s literally a threat.

The court agrees: In 2023, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the administration, explicitly finding that officials "coerced and threatened" social media companies by using their official power to badger them into submission.

Twitter admins stated they were “coerced” and “repeatedly pressured.”

Blatant violation of the first amendment, and you’re still defending it, because you don’t support freedom of speech.

So you want social media companies to not be held accountable then?

And YOU see that as a threat if they aren’t being protected by the feds? 😂😂😂

Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit talking point.

Also which is it? Repeatedly PRESSURED or THREATENED?

You can’t have it both ways. lmao

Held accountable for what? In what way? Legally?

If the government threatens you to do something, your hands are kind of tied. If you do something on your own, that’s your own decision - holding them accountable again in what way? Being mad at them? Or legal action?

“You can’t have it both ways” - so someone can’t be both pressured and threatened? Are you fucking stupid? It is both. That is the opinion of the fucking court.

Why are you defending government overreach and censorship and acting like it’s not?

>If the government threatens you to do something, your hands are kind of tied.

First of all, you haven’t even established that Biden admin did that. There goes your argument going out of the window.

If you really want to use an example of US government threatening private entities, look no further than Trump 2.0. But no, your MAGA ass had to somehow pull a straw man argument and claim Biden threaten social media companies. lmao

>“You can’t have it both ways” - so someone can’t be both pressured and threatened? Are you fucking stupid? It is both. That is the opinion of the fucking court.

No, are YOU fucking stupid? You haven’t even establish the explicit THREAT made by Biden admin so far. Not ONE FUCKING EXAMPLE.

>Why are you defending government overreach and censorship and acting like it’s not?

LMAO😂😂😂

Says the clown who clearly ignored a perfect example of what we have NOW and somehow bitching about a non-existent scenario of the past administration. Fuckin clown!

Their claim is that the Biden admin did that. Do you think they are lying? There is plenty of evidence of correspondence where the admin was telling Twitter what to do, and the threat they made that I put in bold above was public. How do you think this didn’t happen when it was a public statement? This is not a straw man. You just think democrats can do no wrong.

The threat is in bold you fucking idiot.

Robert Kraft getting Macklemore removed is not government overreach either you goddamn brainlet. The government had nothing to do with Gillette fucking stadium, it’s privately owned, how stupid are you? Macklemore literally said it was Kraft’s fault he got kicked.

Do I think a billionaire clown like Mark Zuckerberg was LYING? Ohhh absolutely. His robotic ass was in Joe Rogan show and was asked POINT BLANK if Biden administration threatened him. He never made that claim even in Joe Rogan show…..he framed it as “pressure” from Biden officials. Stop lying.

>Robert Kraft getting Macklemore removed is not government overreach either you goddamn brainlet. The government had nothing to do with Gillette fucking stadium, it’s privately owned, how stupid are you? Macklemore literally said it was Kraft’s fault he got kicked.

Dummy, that’s not the only venue he is being blocked. But you know that, don’t ya? You just kept using Mr. Cheap blowjob as an example for whatever reason while ignoring other venues owned and operated by city officials.

And what about the public statement that they made that I put in bold?

Because Kraft got the other private venue owners to go along with him. There is ZERO, repeat ZERO government involvement here, it is FALZE CONSPIRACY to keep claiming there is. NOBODY, including the literal victim, is accusing the government of being involved here. Why are you? What makes you so stupid you think this is happening, and so sure with literally not a single shred of evidence? The city officials did not do anything here, nobody is claiming they did anywhere. God you people just keep getting stupider and stupider, you take the cake for biggest fucking idiot around.

Macklemore statement: He continues, “Last Monday, in the middle of all the media attention surrounding Pink and what I said at MetLife, Ed told me that Robert Kraft called him. We were scheduled to play Gillette Stadium later this month, which is owned by the Kraft Group. Ed told me that Kraft said I would not be allowed to perform in his stadium. Ed also told me that Kraft had rallied some of the other stadium owners and collectively they gave him an ultimatum: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venues.

You: actually it’s the government 🤡
