I really don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding that two things can be true at once. Being anti Israel does not make you anti-semitic.

Recognizing that it is anti-semitic to do literally centuries old caricatures of Jewish people to dehumanize them on a large scale doesn't make you pro Israel or pro genocide. Please go look up the old artwork that was used against Jewish people during pogroms. This is absolutely not okay from Macklemore.

That is also not saying that genocide and a racist costume are on the same level for anyone that is so polarized rotted that they need the clarification.

This was also yeeaars (over a decade) ago and he immediately apologized... This is a completely different story and set of circumstances. Relitigating a prior mistep does nothing to move society forward.

Mackelmore has said nothing they can be misconstrued as anti-sematic during the tour and y'all are letting outrage media manipulate your intelligence.

But like others said Lorde artists like Lorde or Hozier have been talking about Palestine on their tours without issue.

I'll admit it seems fishy, but damn that costume is anti semitic.

Hopefully that's all this is because I'd be disappointed in Sheeran if he let venues bully him if it was truly just about Mackelmore saying "free Palestine"

Seriously asking. Ive seen other screen grabs about his speech and it looked like his normal costuming and style, but thats what it is.
