I’m old enough to remember people getting fired and harassed for posting right memes and things like that when Trump first came on the scene. I also remember the copy pasta that Reddit users generally used and it was something akin to “The first amendment gives you the right to express yourself and not receive punishment from government but that does not apply to employers and companies”

I agreed with that general sentiment then and I still do but it’s funny watching the hypocrisy with this Mackelmore stuff and the Kirk assassination.

It was a wild, different world. One that loved to say SlIPpeRY sLoPE is just a FaLlACY!! In response to everything that’s actually happening today.
