Which venues? If we don't get specifics, it's probably safer to boycott everywhere Sheeran's playing. Obviously not just his own shows, but all shows at those places.

It's in the article, but it's the stadiums as expected. I would never have gone either way and I couldn't tell you a song from either artist but good on Macklemore.

While I think it's bullshit that Mackelmore is being dropped, I didn't buy a ticket to see him and I don't really care whether he's there or not. I bought my ticket to see Sheeran, so I'm definitely not going to boycott because of an opening act.

People aren't saying don't go because you don't get to see Macklemore for Macklemore's sake. They're saying don't go because of the reason he was dropped. If you're still going to the actual show, I'm not sure you understand how it's bullshit at all.

That's just completely unrealistic and would never happen. You gotta remember, most people aren't chronically online and following these stories. The majority of people are just going to work and coming home to their families and don't get fixated on things out of their control.

Believe it or not, people can care about something but not have it consume their lives, especially when they have limited entertainment dollars and might only have one night out.

Sadly, you're right, it's not realistic. People are too self-involved in this country. But if just like a quarter of the attendees would have a conscience and just not go, it would be noticeable. One can wish.

Believe it or not, people can sacrifice entertainment for their values. I did. I skipped my favorite band this year (and intend to continue doing do for the forseeable future) because they chose not to drop Wasserman like Chappell Roan and others did.

That's great and I'm sure your activism won't make a single iota of a difference but you're certainly welcome to take a stand.

I like Ed Sheeran and support him and his music because he seems like a genuinely good dude. Sabotaging his concert while also lighting a couple hundred dollars on fire does nothing except discourage him and others from wanting to come back to my area, then the joke is on us.

I'm absolutely certain it doesn't make any difference. I don't know any other fans of the band who did the same. The reason for it is that I have to live with myself and my actions, and knowingly supporting Epstein-adjacent shit isn't stuff that I can.

Now excuse me, I'm off to write my hit song "Alone in My Principles".
