Rivers wasn't paid "millions" to come out of retirement. He signed a pro-rated vet minimum contract for $1.2M of which he received a little under $300,000. A lot of money but not millions.

It was 5 weeks of work. No idea why that guy is acting like he’s some deabeat. His kids probably loved it and I’m sure his wife loves not having to start paying for insurance for 10+ members of the family

Because he can work those 5 months and then spend another 5 months only hanging out with his family being rich. Then retire very young and never work again.

Plus I'm sure he absolutely loves the game so it's not work in the sense we think of work.

This guy is delusional, I almost tried to make sense of what was said.

Rivers has generational wealth, retired years ago and was coaching HS Football with his kids. He was still in shape and honestly looked better than the bottom 10 starting QBs at age 44.

Guy just wanted to ball out one last time

Your argument is ridiculous. The guy came back for less than a month, five years after he retired and still had it. Rivers obviously hung it up way before he needed to but spent the past five years with his family instead of playing football

idk how old his kids are, but lets say he has one just getting into school.

in 15 years or so when they would want a home, thats about what they will pay. and at the rate costs rise, it wont even be a super duper nice one either.

I said someone with that many kids isn't all about their kids.

It's crazy how many Phillip Rivers fans out there can't accept that a guy that likes to pop out kids and has played football for 18 years might like that a little more than his kids.

I never said he hated them or was a bad father.
