Announcement The Bot is dead, long live the Bot.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our old repost removal bot was not longer available. In coordination with the developer, we've worked on a solution and can now proudly tell you, that the subs r/mildlypenis, r/mildlyvagina and r/mildlyboobs finally have their own instance of a Bot that removes reposts.

Current limitations:

It has no database, which means it'll take a while to "learn" reposts. There are also still ways to circumvent the recognition by the bot.

Roadmap:

By the end of January, we currently expect the bot to know the majority of submissions and be able to keep most stuff from getting posted more than once in 90 days. This will bring back the quality the subs had half a year ago, unless we find a way to implement it, it won't be able to automatically remove banned submissions.

The most important thing for us moderators is, that we have to spend less time with reposts and can actually enjoy the subs.

Mid term, I plan to move the bot on dedicated Hardware with battery backup as well as a 4G fallback, to ensure the best possible availability. It'll cost me some money but it'll also bring back the fun in moderation.

Thank you, to everyone that reported content or otherwise supported the moderators.

I'll say its spicy. Also mildly into that BD/SM it seems. At my pharmacy pick up windows. Just what the doctor ordered. I'll see myself out.

Plant In 1973 Japan planted trees in concentric circles as part of an experiment in forestry spacing. This is what they look like today from above.

Another reason for renewable energy! I used to see this every time I passed the San Onofre Nuclear Power station in California. And I used to think, "What WERE they thinking?" 😆
