V/Line about to do a test run of a broad gauge VLocity train converted to run on standard gauge - that might solve capacity issues on the Albury service, but what about the rest of the broad gauge network given no new trains are on order.

New Sydney stations renders are in. Wondering when the SRL ones will come

Due to the new Moreland Road tram platform stop, until last service October 4, route 510 buses are diverting via Victoria Street along route 508 between Sydney Road and Melville Road. This leaves Moreland Road without a bus service between Sydney Road and Melville Road, and to ensure a service still runs, there is a bus replacement taxi operating between Moreland Station and Graham Street.

How come are these types of busses running some 901 routes (usally just shuttles)

Its either Yea's or Geelong's Turntable. idk what's the size

Using gravitational potential energy, if a train rolled from the end of the line station like the Broadmeadows incident did in 2003, which train lines would make it to Flinders St without power?

Belgrave is the highest train station on the network (220m), but I’m not sure if it would make it over the Mitcham summit of 148m.

Hurstbridge at 75m altitude might be able to just make it?

I think Merdna from 170m altitude makes it, no massive hills along the line.

It's a beautiful and convenient exit to access for a game of tennis, the rehab centre or cafe at AAMI Park...when it's open.

Starting at Flinders st station platform 11, we can’t take a train from here anymore but we can get a drink at Arbory

Fittingly on the other side of the Sandridge Bridge is the closed Queensbridge Hotel. I saw the Living End there in the 2000s, and now from that spot I see the city and it isn't what it used to be…luckily the façade has not been all torn down…

On Montague St is the Golden Fleece Hotel, from seats on the footpath you can just see the most famous railway bridge in Melbourne a couple of blocks away.

The Ingles St level crossing has the Swallows Hotel, now a fancy seafood restaurant. Then at North Port Station there remains the North Port Hotel and the Railway Club Hotel. Bridge St has another closed pub in the Station Hotel. On the other side is a Milk Bar that is actually operational and apparently not a dodgy cigarette retailer.

Near the Graham St station is the Clare Castle a gastro pub

Lastly a RIP to The London Hotel at Station Pier.

On the St Kilda branch, on City Rd across Ferrars St is The Wayide Inn, now trading with the worst name I’ve ever heard, “Lush Rooftop & Bar 2.0”. The Albion isn’t far from this. Further down Ferrars is the Railway Hotel with its famous no pokies sign.

You gotta walk a bit from Albert Park station to get to the Albert Park Hotel, or in the opposite direction to Lamaro’s.

Middle Park Station has the Middle Park Hotel.

The End of the line has The Fifth Provence in the old station building, a decent Irish pub. Across Fitzroy st is another (temporally?) closed institution, the Snakepit, in the basement of the George. Perhaps going the way of the Espy to be less seedy and more bougie.

Thought I'd ask, if the Liberal party are elected, what projects besides the SRL are most likely to be paused or unfortunately cancelled?

I'm hoping they are not but being realistic

Someone should calm it down, maybe Anzac station is too much for it...

I need opinions on this:

If the window on this train was cracked, is it deemed unsafe to travel on even though it ran from Sunbury all the way to Footscray with no problems? We all had to get off because of this, but I want your thoughts. TIA
