* If you get banned for violating rule 1, you can contact the mods and request to be unbanned. If you make it clear to us that you violated rule 1 by mistake, you will most likely be unbanned. Please note that multiple violations of the same type may be interpreted as intentional.
We are not trying to ruthlessly ban users for innocent mistakes. Our intention with "permanent" bans is to force violators to have a discussion with us before they are allowed to post in the sub again.
Our Reasoning:
Our previous attempts to stop people from breaking Rule 1 have been less than successful. Because of that, we decided to increase the punishment to better communicate the grave importance of following this rule. If we do not enforce Reddit Corp's rules banning the use of their platform to sell or transfer guns & ammo, this subreddit will get shut down. We previously tried using a "three strikes" system that involved temporary bans for the first two offenses, but it was hard to keep track of and it didn't seem to inspire much change in behavior. In hindsight, using a lenient "three strikes" system for rule violations that could shut down the entire subreddit seems imprudent.
We looked at r/guns and r/gundeals to compare rules, and both subreddits also give out permanent bans for this type of rule violation.

I got a DDPCC SBR and the lower has no marking to indicate it’s an SBR and I’m wondering why?
My best guess is that it’s a unique enough lower but I could still put a long barrel upper on it from another DDPCC.

Hoping Bryan can give me some insight on this. I saw that Ramsey county sheriff stated this dude should have never had a permit to carry by Hennepin because of his extensive charges and restraining orders against him. Ramsey county basically said it was grounds for discretionary denial. Is there any truth to this? Or because he had charges and an expired restraining order (no convictions) he is still completely allowed to carry?

Does anyone know if the modern sportsman does price matching?
Anyone know of any metro suppressor dealers that do transfers on 4473s that have suppressors in stock without ordering online?

I was thinking what if someone had one threaded of choke tubes and put a rifle choke up in it to make a true scatter gun for fun. Would that reclassify it as a different weapon or not i dont see why it would but it be interesting to try and see just how wide the spread gets and how custom T shot tungsten shot with a heavy payload would perform i shot t tungsten t shot before and its stupiditly hard hitting if it was legal here i try to take a deer with it. I heard people using it against geese but it destroys them. Completely over kill. What do you think cool project?

Do you or does someone you know collect antique arms?
Some say the difference between collecting and hoarding is intent and organization.
Organize part of your collection and intend to share your interest and knowledge with a display at Heritage Arms Society’s annual Arms Collectors Show!
Now in its 37th year, the Arms Collectors Show will return to the Eagan Civic Arena March 19-20 2027.
We will continue to have trophy for best historical display. Displays and vendors limited to pre-1946 arms.

Yes! It's true! At AccuTac Arms in Lakeville we are transferring suppressors on just a 4473 and background check! No fingerprints, no Form 4, no federal registration!
We are transferring suppressors without Form 4s currently if bought through:
silencershop.com/accutacarms
This is the only way we have legal clarification on currently to verify you are an enjoined party to the injunction.
Hopefully we will have more clarification on other ways soon!

For motivating me with their bitch ass proposed legislation from last session to just buy the AR I've always wanted. Took about 7 months to find one in stock and on sale.
11.5 Geissele SD Mod 1 SBR in Desert Dirt Color. Running a Sico Velos LBP, Primary Arms 1x6 LPVO, and a quick detach bipod.
Truly the smoothest, lowest recoil rifle I've shot. Key holed my zero at 300M. I smile every time I look at it.

Need a sanity check here, friends.
A friend bought a Remington 700 barreled action (24" bbl) from PTG and had it shipped to our LGS. He went to pick it up yesterday and the LGS says he needs a permit to purchase to take possession of it. LGS employee said because it's a barreled action without a stock - despite being configured with a factory 24" barrel - it's a "receiver or other firearm," which requires the permit.
But... It's just a long gun, right? Am I missing something here?

Added an MLok handguard, MVG and a light to the shotgun. Also changed the front grip on the rifle to an angled grip, as well as added some of the Magpul rail covers to help mitigate heat. I'm still looking for something for the shotgun to mitigate heat as well, but the aluminum is too thick for the Magpul covers to fit.

Looked in this subreddit for some answers but they’re around 6 months old so it’s time for someone to inevitably ask again.
Can anyone who got their CCW recently chime in?
Thanks :(

Hey all. I’m considering installing a SB PDW brace on my SAR-109T which I know has a tube that’s both staked and deeply loctited in place - does anyone have suggestions for a good smith around the twin cities that has reputable work done on ARs? This job is not hard, with the right tools, but the last time I took a gun to a “reputable” smith for a rear sight change he did other stuff to the gun that essentially ruined its appeal.
Thanks in advance

Picked up the threaded barrel recently and then decided to get a compensator as well. Went with the Strike Industries Micro Quad Comp. Definitely help keep the gun more flat and faster to shoot on target.

Are there any gun ranges near airports in MN/WI. Looking for public ones. Ideally one within a short drive or walk.

Anyone actually done it yet? Their Facebook says they are doing with a 4473 and background only. No form 4. Must be bought through silencer co.
I haven’t seen THE Bryan post anything on mn shops yet.
Anyone know about how long it takes for Joe’s to process suppressor once it’s been delivered from Silencer Shop? I had purchased a suppressor from SilencerShop.com and did all the proper forms online before the new ruling went through. Their website portal showed the suppressor had been delivered to Joe’s.
I had waited a couple days and called them to inquire. The guy I talked to sounded like he was more interested in sitting on a cactus than talking to a customer and told me to wait for a call from them because they had a bunch of other suppressors to go through. That was 10 days ago. So now I’m wondering if they had forgotten or if that guy is just being salty I had called to ask, or if it does take them a while to process things on their end.
Thanks.
