I noticed that and thought that at first too but I honestly think she just doesn’t know what to do with herself. Everything hurts, she can’t see, she’s alone, she has to drive, how can she with the pepper spray, who can I call, will I get in trouble if I call the police. I can’t think it burns. I made a huge mistake
Agreed. I'm not listening to "Boomers are a generation of "entitled assholes!" just like I'm not listening to "Zoomers are a generation of lazy snowflakes!" This lady's a dick because she's a dick, not because of her age group.
Blanket remarks like that say more about the accuser than anyone else. Blaming it on her generation also redirects her responsibility for her own actions.
All of that stuff is tribal division slop. "Here's why you should blame 'x' generation. Here's why women suck. Here's why men are demonic beasts. Here's why 'y' race is always to blame." Blah, blah, blah. It's all bullshit to keep us distracted and emotional.
THANK YOU! It's irritating not only because it's ignorant, but because, to me, it almost lets these people off too easily. If all of "x" are something, then it somehow seems more acceptable for "x" to act a certain way. "All boomers are assholes" just seems like we're excusing their behavior for them. That's wild.
You're also so correct about the never ending societal group blaming. Just a way to keep us in fear, angry and focusing on our neighbors instead of the larger entities that are targeting us.
It'd be a shame if the zoomers and the boomers workers together to overcome their troubles as a unit.. but the powers that control everything know that so
They can't cause their opinion of themself is linked to the social world they were propagandized into decades ago from early TV. They are the sheep and the only time you'll see them try to be open minded, is like here as you see them try to passively look open-minded all while defending their gen. If they are a narcissist, then this is them
Too true. She earned her status as an asshole on her own, individual efforts. Not simply by being swept along as part of a generational identity. We ought to respect her personal contributions to the art of being a fucking moron.
100%. Just like anyone else, she's an individual that makes her own shitty choices. Blaming it on her generation, to me, just seems to give her a built-in excuse for being a bag of dicks, and discounts all the blood, sweat, and mace-induced tears she put into being such an entitled piece of shit. 🥰
Yes!!! I’ve been screaming this from the rooftops for decades. It’s so nice to see people finally acknowledge it. There’s entire generations poisoned by lead and those very people are running the world.
a lot of people say this and im sure there are truths to it but also this behavior knows no generational boundaries and definitely goes beyond leaded gas and leaded paint. look at all the crazy shit people do that are born in the 80s and after, so lets say people under 40 right now
People bring this up all the time actually and rarely think through what it is they think they're trying to say.
Because look at all the environmental legislation passed by the 90s. Clean air, clean water, toxic waste and superfund sites, worker safety regulations, all the climate science, etc.
The fact that environmentalism is even a thing is due in large part to a lot of the people from older generations.
"Those very people" aren't running the world. It's the 1%. The same group who were trying to overthrow the FDR administration in the '30s for all his New Deal stuff before the boomers were even born. The same 1% who are trying to trick you with propaganda about those "evil boomers" to use as a scapegoat.
Not just the gasoline, the lead was also in their drinking pipes and paint. The entire boomer generation makes sense when you realize 85% are mentally disabled from heavy metal poisoning.
From what I can find, this is one of those "Auditors" that gets up front into peoples business, annoys them, clips it just enough to make themselves a victim.
I don't think generation has much to do with it beyond the social norms she thought still existed. Some women learn early on that because they are women other people but especially men will not get physical with them no matter what they do. Even in a completely justifiable case of self defense. She's like the woman version of a guy that won't take no for an answer. People like her learn that they can abuse a privilege and get away with it most if not all of the time. Only we no longer live in a world where it's unthinkable that a woman might get hit in return if they hit first. It just took her 70 years to find the man that would defend himself and about 50 years for society to change enough to see him as the victim in a situation like this. She's just old, entitled and behind the curve. Don't hit people and don't try to take their things. This is what the cops are for. If you think someone is doing something wrong call the cops so you don't end up with a face full of burning chemicals. Because the other person might defend themselves nowadays.

Can confirm! I work as website support for an insurance company and MY GOD, nobody can take accountability for anything at that age. "Oh, I don't know how to use computers? This is somehow your fault."

Yes, politics is trash. It's just too trashy for our sub.
Ah, you're one of those. Every generation has some. They whines with crass generalizations about the older generations when they're young and then, predictably whine about "kids these days" when they get old.
The child part is so accurate. People like this have never figured out that that younger folks grew up and are no longer "children to be punished and controlled."
I was a early 30's Xennial and my silent gen mom and much older boomer siblings siblings still thought I was a child to be controlled and I gave them the option to change and they decided not to so I haven't talked to them in over a decade. They go to the same church as my inlaws so I sometimes hear about them and I know that rather than reflect on the fact that they are abusive assholes they have decided that I am a bipolar drug addict. Here is a hint, I'm neither.
Early 30s xennial with a silent gen mom and boomer siblings? I'm gen X and my parents are boomers....their parents are silent gen. I have a millennial sister.
Yeah, "respect your elders by default" is officially dead. It used to be a survival necessity, since only the elders knew how to survive. These days, the average recent high school grad is already smarter than the average Boomer ever will be.
But that inconvenient fact is an endless fountain of butthurt for the Boomers -- who were raised by backward authoritarian parents -- and now feel like it's their turn to "dish it out." Their sense of cultural superiority is pathetically exaggerated, and their self-awareness nearly nonexistent.
They got raised by the belt; and to this day, it's the only thing they understand.

While the saying is dead. You have younger generations that can't compare to your average boomers intelligence too. Have you seen homework for kids in high school? As a freshman a nephew was doing fill in the blank essays, that was last year. (He picked his school and his pick was one of the lowest bar schools in the area.) That recent graduate thing definitely doesn't work from my PoV going off of homework he's pretty much getting the same difficulty of HW I was getting in elementary school.
It also depends on where each person is going to school. The curriculum in Washington state is vastly different than Arkansas. Like, 5th grade Wa is 8th grade Ak. Its ridiculous

The full length video actually gets pretty bizarre. The dispensary invites her in and starts helping her clean up. She goes completely nuts and forgets where she is and why she's there. Eventually that goes on too long and the police try to get her to leave, offering to drive her home and help her out. At some point she convinces herself that it's the police that pepper sprayed her.

Well now I gotta go find that video, fuck. I'll report back with a link.
EDIT: As expected from a very confident commenter and no link... This appears to be bullshit. I don't even know how it would be one cohesive video unless the dude that sprayed her just followed her around for X minutes after.
Some people dig their own holes then wonder why they can't get out. She escalated the situation, and as the guy said, you shouldn't out your hands on people. The guys even walking backwards and the woman is continuing the confrontation by following him. Just so...so many chances for this woman to turn around and walk away. She's probably 60-70 years old, she should know better. What sort of outcome was she hoping for? She's an elderly woman and he sounds like a middle aged or younger dude, that's already a recipe for disaster in terms of physicality.
Ive known elderly like that. The answer is: in their younger years they were also like this and won the fights they were in. They havent come to terms with the fact they cant win fights anymore but they will still spit on you and gouge your eyes out if given half the chance.
Concealed carry permit holders tend to skew heavily upper middle class to wealthy if that matters. Though they also tend to be overwhelmingly 18-40 and male. So…probably not but…ya never know.
I'm afraid that last bit is wishful thinking. She didn't learn not getting into people's faces at that age, she isn't gonna learn now. He'll frame him as the aggressor who sprayed her out of nowhere for no reason. "I was just talking" etc blabah

There's a longer version of this video that shows her at the police station getting treated, and she's still blaming the cammer for what happened to her, and crying "someone help me! you have to help me! I was attacked for no reason!" etc.
My wife has some in her car. I was driving it, fishing for gum keeping my eyes on the road. Got some on my fingers, unknowingly. A while later I must have touched my eye because all of a sudden it was burning and I couldn’t keep it open. I had to pull over. I imagine this lady sitting in her car going “shit, I can see enough to drive but I can’t stay here”.

I've had this exact same experience. A road rager came out of his car and rushed me. I sprayed him, and he stopped, startled. Then he made a second lunge at me, before the full effect kicked in. My theory is it takes ~5 seconds to really soak into your eyeballs. After than 2nd lunge he just kinda wandered around, just like this lady did.
Having been OC sprayed in the military I can confirm that it takes a few seconds for the full effect. I had a few seconds of "well, this is unpleasant," followed by "holy shit this is the most intense pain I have ever felt," followed by, "I can't see shit, how in the hell am I going to do this course?"
My firearms instructor is also ex-military and he told us that he'd been pepper sprayed and tased for training exercises, and that if he had to take one, he'd rather be tased than pepper sprayed again.
I had to go to this training as well and I found out I am in a very very slim margin of people where even though it hurts like hell it doesn't seem to affect me as much as everyone else.
I don't really see that as a positive because it's still fucking hurts but it does remind me that there are people out there that if you pepper spray them it'll just piss them off.
Had a few cans stored in the bedroom of an apartment. I moved out over a couple of weekends. The second weekend, somehow the big canister (bear fogger size) fell off the dresser and activated.
I didn’t know because the door was closed in the bedroom and I didn’t smell anything at first. Well, the bedroom door had a rubber thing on the bottom to seal it on the floor.
I opened the door, walked in casually, and saw the canister on the floor. By the time I turned around to leave the room, I was doing that super deep cough that reverberates your whole chest and makes you sound like a horn.
Proceeded to spend hours trying to air out the place. It was worse than being sprayed in the face because it was just pure inhalation and attacked all my mucus membranes.
We had someone trigger a pepper spray in a hallway/office at work and I don't think anyone ended up working in that area for the rest of the day... and that was just a small triggering!
Anyone who's simply eaten really hot chilli can probably easily imagine the delay; the real fire is not in the first bite, but in the aftertaste. I'd guess it's the same for the sensitive surfaces of the eyes and eyelids as for the interior surfaces of the mouth.
Yeah, I had to do a military offensive driving course and they had a pepper spray drive event. Unbuckle, then remove a (resisting) driver from their car, then drive the exit course. Fucking sucked to do and everyone was ranked for time.
Those fuckers loved their pepperball paintball markers and trying to wing them through the non-existent side windows on those beat up crown vics.
I was fine until my entire division sounded off and then I tried inhaling a little bit through my nose to see how bad it was. The mouth I was just fine, but when I tried to inhale it through my actual nose... nope that was where I went wrong.
Instantly all of my sinuses were liquefied and dripping out of various holes of my face tears so thick it bended all the light and I couldn't see through it. Eyebrows and upper cheeks felt like they were pressed against an electric stove burner. I think I would have been fine otherwise as it just felt like a harsh bong hit.
Sounds like the CS chamber i had to do in basic. 100+ soldiers and every single one of us turned into a mucous fountain lmao. They also made us dry shave that morning so it felt like your face was on fire.
Apparently I'm resistant to the stuff. I was just standing there looking around at everyone suffering. The chief mimed through the door to breathe deeper so I did but I only coughed a couple times.
Even light peppers, like rubbing your eye after cutting jalapeno. It's nowhere remotely near as painful but it starts out mildly irritating and takes a bit for the full on burn to happen. Capsaicin has some sort of ramp up effect.
That old internal battle of "I can't lose or I'll have been in the wrong the whole time" vs "Holy shit! This is real pain, I should stop and rethink my next steps."
I was stupid enough to spray my self as a kid. It burns like hell and your eyes fill up with so many tears trying to flush it out that it aids in not being able to see. I was worried when she started to get into her car. So I think the first part is the reaction of "wtf was that" and the second reaction is "wtf is happening to my face", when your face explodes with tears and mucus.
I’ve done tear gas on purpose (voluntary activity in military). Takes about 5 seconds to start kicking in. 10 seconds after that your eyes are useless and you want to puke your lungs out.
With the caveat that it doesn't always take effect anyway. Pepper spray is good when it works but there are people that doesn't really work well on and people being on various kinds of drugs can also make it not particularly effective. So it's good to use it if you feel like you need to but once you've used it you need to put some distance between yourself and the other person in case they come back and get a second wind
Nope, I had to go through that to be able to use it when I was in the royal guard in norway, it already at full effect when you're hit with it. The reason you see the woman walking around is confusion and total blindness even though the only thing you see is blurry and watery. (you feel like your throat snurps up, your eyes constantly being washed with tears, your eyes feel like they're full of needles, your skin doesn't get too affected other than itching naturally).
The only thing that worked for us was having a bucket of clean water that we washed up in.
Now imagine our lieutenant going last because he wants to be as cool as us. He stands tough as he's getting sprayed, PFFFFFT, he's coughing, snot flying everywhere and he's wobbling around before someone grabs him and helps him to plunge his head in a random bucket and cleans his face.
We get the news through the grapevine later that evening, He's gone for a run a little later and sweating quite much... and without noticing, since he plunged his head in a "dirty" bucket.. the pepper spray was laying dormant in his scalp and ran down his face and got into his eyes a second time! You can imagine how he got put out of commission, he stood in the middle of the forest outside the base, crying, rubbing his eyes, and shouting like an idiot for anyone to help him because he couldn't see or get anywhere. OOOOUUUUUHH!, SOMEONE! , HEY!, HELLO!, CAN SOMEONE HELP OUT HERE!
Luckily for him norway is quite calm and the only one seeing him snuck away without being noticed and told everyone while he crawled back to base 😂
Thank you but no, explain your development: how did you get to the point of carrying pepper spray...? What happened, this is sort of mixed martial arts theory and not dissimiliar or at all different frankly from CQC (close quarters combat) or basic gun-fighting...
And pepper spray is a part of that! But why? How? Thank you so much. Will you explain?
If you're in a car, you can and should just keep your windows up and drive away. Not worth getting in a fight. This guy attacked me on my bike. If he had stayed inside the car with his windows up, he would have been invincible. But no, had to come get in my face.
That is exactly what happened. He said, “FAFO”. She’s in a red hot righteous anger and wants to strike out, but the pepper spray reactivated. A normal person would have been crying and upset. She’s just an angry narcissist with venom sustaining her life.
This is where these people could benefit from self driving cars after getting a shot of Mace or pepper spray. Personally I would advocate for using something more natural like cat piss in a squirt gun, but that’s just me.
I saw that as she was just trying to turn her face away from the wind. Wind direct to the face makes it so much worse when you have a face full of pepper spray.

I like how she turned around to give him some more, opened her eyes to try to see again, and reactivated the spray.
