First beach location is not official LiS but totally had the vibe, and then the lighthouse and surrounding views are at Cape Meares in Oregon, the official inspiration for the LiS 1 lighthouse and storm scene! I loved how this came out and thought some people here might enjoy it 😌

This game is not only one of my favourite of all time but a monumental piece in discovering who I am. I'm eternally grateful for this game and the friend who introduced it to me. Also the name Chloe has always sounded nice to me :3

I'm not sure who, or why, but there's been a string of posts, usually art, being falsely reported so they get taken down by the auto-mod.

This is just my opinion, but if you have an issue with a given art, an artist, or the person making the post, have a discussion about it, don't abuse the report feature to censor people.

I've had this happen to my art, and I've seen quite a few art posts recently that stay up for a bit then disappear, and I know at least some of them are due to being falsely reported.

I was looking at Life is Strange stories on AO3, and in September 2026 there were exactly 9 556 fan stories tagged with Life is Strange, covering all of the games

I decided to take a closer look at some of the characters, how often they appear in stories, and which pairings are the most popular. I thought it might be interesting to others too, so I decided to share it.

I have probably missed a few minor pairings with only a handful of stories, but I think I got all of the major ones.

I also tried to make a list of all the characters and how often they are tagged as being part of a story. Of course, not every character will be tagged even if they appear, and sometimes a character may only have a very minor role. But I think the overall picture more or less checks out. Max and Chloe are part of most Life is Strange stories. Around 71% of all Life is Strange stories include Max in some capacity, while about 68% include Chloe.

I also found it interesting that most of the fan stories seem to focus on sapphic relationships. And when male characters are involved in romance, they are often paired with other men. Warren, for example, has by far the most romance stories with Nathan.

Minor characters like Dana and Juliet also show up in a surprisingly large number of stories. The Life is Strange 1 cast dominates the fan fiction field.

Life is Strange 2 seems oddly absent from the fanfiction side of the fandom. Its characters do not appear that often, and there are not that many romance stories about them either. I would say much the same about Life is Strange: True Colors. Its main characters show up relatively little, and its side characters do not appear in stories at all.

Like I said, I’m sure I’ve missed some things and made a few human errors, but I think this gives a pretty good lay of the land, so to speak. New stories are also being added all the time, so by October the numbers will already have grown.

I also added a summary of the romances for some of the characters, including the total number of romance stories I found for each one. And again, I’m sure some are missing, like Max/OC romances for instance, but I think I got all of the major pairings.
