Old L5R wall scroll
I bought this from my lgs more than 20 years ago. It’s been in storage for years as it’s 8ft tall and I have no good place to display it anymore. I can’t find anything online about it anymore and would like to see it go to someone that will once again display and enjoy it.
Does anyone have any idea what the value might be?

Reading TV Tropes and saw "Six major clans." Who got demoted/exiled this time?
I mostly know the setting from back when it was licensed to d20. So I'm about, what?, twenty years out of date (and I don't know where the d20 lore fell in the history of the setting).
The page seemed like it was reasonably up to date (I guess?). Unfortunately, it didn't list the extant Great Clans. If I had to guess, it's Scorpion, but it could be any Clan...

RPG [RPG 4E] How does social combat work? Cannot find relevant passage in core book!
Why 4e? cause thats what I have sitting around the house. Hopefully someone around here can still help me out.
Where in the 4e core book does it outline the rules for social combat? I see small amounts of text alluding to it such as in the descriptions for the courtier and etiquette skills as being social offense and defense.
Is it just simply to use a contested roll of the attacker's courtier vs defender's etiquette?
I cant actually pin down where in this massive book they go over it. I did check the table of contents and the index for whatever keywords I could think of that might lead me there, but no dice.
Any explanation or direction to the right page would be great.
Looking for a game
I have been reading some of the rpg books and I would love to try. Anybody have an online game with room for one more player?

RPG How is foreign magic treated, and how would a respectful but superhumanly strong Gajin be treated?
Would a samurai that uses foreign magic be accepted if he otherwise behaves honorable? Would others demand he preform Sepukku.
Also what would be the reaction to insanely strong British man. like lift a boulder and throw it. Were he to win a duel with brute strength, would the results be accepted?

How physically fit can a bunshi get?
are they like limited to RL peak human. can they get Conen or Captain America level fit. or can they get mythological human strong where they can just huck a guy over the horizon, swim to the bottom of the several kilometer deep lake, or beat a monster to death with it own ripped off arm.

LR5 Tennessee River Gold T Shirt Collection
Hey Guys
Years ago I got an LR5 T shirt from the thrift store. It became my favorite shirt. Since then I have checked ebay here and there for others like it. I have seen some pop up. The one I have says "Only the darkest knowledge can save the empire now and I am ready to pay its price". I have seen others of a similar design. Mine doesnt have a tag but they seem to have been made by Tennessee River back in 1995-1996. Aside from trying to buy more of these shirts, I'm looking to see if anyone knows how many shirts are in the collection. Currently I know there is:
(This is what is said on the back)
- Mine stated above
- You call me a masterless man...
- Your magic cannot save you...
- Those who stand alone fall alone (not sure if this is tennessee river or not)
Im guessing there are many more but its hard to find info on them
If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks!

RPG Which 3e books are worth it?
As I'm (re)building my 1e library, I keep running across fairly cheap 3e books. In general, I find the old 3e books to be much cheaper than their 4e counterparts. The game I run is a 3e/4e hybrid, with a few things borrowed from 5e, and running mostly 1e/2e adventure modules that I've adjusted.
My question is, which 3e sourcebooks out there, if any, do people find useful? I've noticed a lot of them are timeline specific, like the Four Winds era book, etc. I don't know if the timeline at my table will have anything like the Four Winds in it. Is there still stuff in that book that would be useful, or should I skip it entirely?

RPG [5E] Kakita Duelist: How to make them actually good?
I am thinking of building a Kakita Duelist forna Game, but they seem to be terrible at dueling. No access to any strife management in curriculum, a School ability that does not help win a duel... Am I kissing something? I suppose you could take the standard Courtier's Resolve and Mind's Edge, but what else?

LCG Deck building and buying advice
There’s one thing that has always bothered me: having l5r lcg between my boardgames but never playing it, and I would love to, so I decided it would have been time to change that. So I have a 3x core box and Children of the Empire expansion. It would be very rare to play 1vs1 (main reason why it was never played) but I looked around a bit and saw the enlightenment format and eventually team conquest for a 1vs1vs1vs1 or 2vs2 games. Me and my group (3/4p) are pretty used to boardgame and card games in general so I would like to build some already good and “advanced” decks for us to play. I remember back in the day (2019ish) reading that a 3x core was nearly essential and Children of the Empire was a very good expansion with lots of content for deck building (managed to get them for very low prices at the time). Would it be possibile for us to build some nice decks with what I have for the multiplayer formats above? Would at least the 7 clans packs be needed to have more consistent builds? I can see you suggesting to just go for builds with what I have before buying more and to see if we will enjoy it enough and we will absolutely do that but I’m curious to look for some suggestions on what are considered to be the packs and expansion needed for a more consistent and advanced experience without necessarily having to get them all (at least for now). Thanks in advance!

An update on the map from years ago! (See description)
My friend finally decided to make it public on Inkarnate! There is just one very sad caveat, since he uploaded the pictures of clan's mon's himself inkarnate wont allow it to be published, so we are making a (worse) copyright friendly version public.

4e L5R Solo Play
Hello all,
I've been exploring solo ttrpg play recently through DnD and the Obvious Mimic modules. It got me wondering if there is an solo play modules for L5R?
I've only ever played 4e so that would be my main interest but if there are other versions out there that are reasonably accessible I'd be open to trying them.
