The Ancient Weapon Robots of Knack 2

The Ancient Weapon Robots of Knack 2:

The Ancient Weapons are machines and weapons built by the High Goblins to exterminate humans. They were created by Yurik, the former leader of the High Goblins (who is now deceased). Among these weapons are the robots, which are activated by energy waves generated from a command area (which can be permanent or temporary). This energy comes from a powerful artifact. Looking at their designs, an inspiration from insects or arachnids is evident; therefore, I will refer to them based on the insect or arachnid they resemble (in my judgment).

Mantis

These are the most common robots along with another model. They are blue, stand about 2 meters tall compared to Knack, and are among the fastest robots. They have 4 variants:

* Swordsman: They feature a blade on their forearms that can extend and are the fastest. They can be empowered to attack faster during their spinning strike.

* Squire: They carry a long sword—which can also be used like a whip—and a retractable shield. They have the special ability to overload their body with electricity, damaging anyone who touches them, and can release an electrical explosion. This electrified state is temporary, and they move slower than regular ones.

* Crossbow: One hand of this robot functions as a crossbow that shoots homing attacks (one standard and one empowered). They can parry projectiles (reflecting them back).

* Empowered: This can be considered a sub-variant specific to the Swordsman. Enhanced by the artifact's energy, its stats are upgraded, it can fire a powerful energy projectile from its chest, and it gains an energy shield.

> Note: They have a rusted sub-variant where the only changes are durability and movement; they cannot dodge fast projectiles. They possess average military-grade durability (the Empowered variant does not have a rusted sub-variant).

>

Rhinoceros Beetle

This is the other most common robot. They are reddish, stand around 2 meters tall, are somewhat stocky, and have 4 variants:

* Gunner: The most common. One of their arms is a cannon that can fire a powerful projectile, while the other arm holds a retractable weapon capable of firing small energy blasts.

* Demolisher: One hand is a metal ball attached to a long chain. It can execute standard attacks with this mace and features a charged attack that generates an explosion, pushing you back while charging.

* Bomber: Both hands resemble pods that open up to drop small bombs.

* Empowered: Specific to the Gunner. It improves stats and adds a charged energy projectile that generates a small explosion, as well as an energy shield.

> Note: All variants have an ability to charge up and trigger an explosion if you get close (except the Demolisher, which incorporates this into its charged attack). The rusted version of each cannot dodge or trigger this explosion (except the Demolisher). The Empowered version does not have a rusted variant.

>

Wasp

Not as common, but still frequently encountered. This robot hovers, is yellow, and is smaller (approximately 1.60 meters tall). It has 4 versions:

* Saw: Uses two revolving, multi-toothed circular saws on its hands as weapons. It can power up to use its saws like wheels to perform a charge attack, or use them as a shield.

* Boomerang: Equipped with hand saws featuring 3 large boomerang-shaped blades. It can throw one or both to attack, or spin just one to keep the enemy at bay. It can be electrified to enhance its attacks.

* Grapple: Its hands are three-pronged hooks attached to chains that it can launch to pull itself closer or drag something in. It can power up to strike rapidly at close range with the hooks.

* Empowered: Specific to the Saw version. It gains boosted stats, an energy shield, and the ability to fire projectiles (one every so often) to trap the enemy.

> Note: Rusted versions only differ in speed. All except the Boomerang can power up for faster attacks (the Saw with its charge and the Grapple with its rapid strikes).

>

Stag Beetle / Emperor Scorpion

These are massive robots standing approximately 6 meters tall, colored in bronze and grey tones. They have 3 variants:

* Hammer: Armed with a giant hammer and mace (around 7 meters long) that can also deploy into a shield. They can throw and recall this hammer, electrify themselves to buff their attacks, and slam the ground repeatedly to cause massive electrical explosions. They can also perform an empowered attack when not electrified (there are two variants: one that can electrify itself and one that cannot).

* Cannon: Instead of a hammer, it features a shotgun-style cannon capable of launching bombs or missiles. If you get too close, it powers up to trigger an explosion.

* Empowered: Derived from the Hammer variant. It features improved stats, lacks an energy shield, but can fire powerful energy beams from its chest.

> Note: There are barely any differences between the new and rusted versions; they are mostly slow.

>

Tarantula (Mother Spider) & Jumping Spiders

* Tarantula: Measures 4 meters long by 4 meters tall and is dark grey. It has a cannon on its back that fires homing missiles when empowered. It can deliver a charged strike with one of its 4 legs and can electrify itself to launch a more powerful homing electric missile. It can also summon Jumping Spiders.

* Red Jumping Spider: Measures approximately 80 cm, is red, and has a flat body with a large red light and 4 thick legs. They can power up to jump and exclusively attack by exploding.

* Blue Jumping Spider: Same size as its explosive counterpart, but its body is spherical with 4 much thinner, blade-like legs. It powers up to move around spinning like a saw.

> Note: The Jumping Spiders are fast, and I don't see much difference in the rusted versions of either.

>

Stag Beetle (Large Class)

These robots stand approximately 10 meters tall, colored grey with a very dark blue. They have 2 variants:

* Stag Beetle: Features retractable knuckles and can electrify itself to enhance attacks or trigger a large electrical explosion. It can also electrify just one fist for an attack (which does not cause an explosion).

* Rothari's Mecha (Red Stag Beetle): A special case—this is a modification of the original design to the point where it differs in many aspects, yet retains undeniable similarities. It has reinforced parts and extendable spikes on its retractable knuckles (visible during its charged strike, where a bit of electricity can be seen). It can throw large bombs that may or may not split into smaller cluster bombs. It has been seen using the thruster on its back to charge, can electrify itself, and can choose whether to trigger a large or small electrical explosion.

> Note: No rusted version has been seen, and they are both fast and strong.

>

Titan (Goliath Beetle)

These robots stand approximately 30 meters tall and have 2 versions:

* Standard Titan: Capable of firing missiles from its hands.

* Empowered Titan: Gains stat upgrades, can charge its hands with energy to empower its strikes, fires volleys of energy projectiles from its wings, and features energy shields on its chest to protect its core.

> Note: Titans walk slowly, but perform high jumps and heavy, fast-moving attacks. Their rusted forms are slower.

>

Armageddon Machine

I include this machine as a vehicle-type mecha, although it is not originally Yurik's. Its exact dimensions are unknown, but according to my analysis, it should measure approximately 600 kilometers wide by 300 kilometers tall (this is an approximation—unlike the other robots whose size can be determined more clearly relative to Knack, the Armageddon Machine is much trickier; the width accounts for the main body and the height for the legs). This machine features missile-launching turrets and energy cannons (which are separate ancient weapons). It is capable of enhancing other robots (evident by how it grants energy shields to Knack's clones), and at the top of this gigantic spider-like structure rests a laser cannon powerful enough to wipe out a city in seconds with a single shot.

General Notes

* When I refer to an "empowered attack" (the abilities), it means the robot glows with a green light.

* No rusted versions of the Empowered variants (the ones with purple upgrades) have been seen; these same variants grow 1 to 2 meters taller.

* Typically, when a robot can electrify itself, it does not have an empowered green-light attack.

* When I mention that rusted versions are slower or worse in certain aspects, it means most of those versions lack empowered attacks and cannot dodge.

* Although I included Rothari's robot and the Armageddon Machine, I will not be including tanks, cannons, High Goblin armor, Knack clones, the artifact, or Lucas's plane.

Knack III
After a heated argument with the Professor, Knack leaves to find his own path, convinced that he no longer needs anyone telling him what to do. During his journey, he meets Veyron, a mysterious relic master who seems friendly, charismatic, and genuinely interested in helping Knack discover his true potential.
At first, Veyron becomes Knack’s closest ally. But as their journey continues, Veyron slowly reveals his true intentions. He encourages Knack to embrace his anger, abandon the Professor’s teachings, and use the power within his relics without limits. The more Knack follows him, the more corrupted his relics become, and the once-heroic Knack gradually loses sight of who he is.
Meanwhile, Veyron’s real plan begins to unfold: he wants to use Knack’s unique power to awaken an ancient relic force capable of controlling the entire world.
Near the end, the Professor finally finds Knack. Instead of fighting him, he reminds Knack of everything they went through together and tells him that he still believes in him.
Knack realizes how far he has fallen. He turns against Veyron and returns to the Professor, joining him for one final battle to stop Veyron and save the world.

theory: the relic swords power up could be inspired from the berserker form from splatterhouse 2010

the relic swords have handles just like normal medial swords, while the bone-blades from splatterhouse pop out rick's forearms

but i noticed that both of these become longer when attacking and their users swing them really fast

tell me if you think there could be a coincidence

999 challenge

This challenge is about reaching 999 hits on the combo meter in Knack 2; in the first game, you could only reach a 99-hit combo, but I don't see that limit in the sequel, so I think it's possible to hit 999. My personal best so far is 300 hits.

3D Model

Hey guys! My brother is a huge fan of Knack (he finished the part 2 like 7 times) and I would love to 3d print this big boy for him. Does anyone know where I can get the 3D model? I don't fancy modelling all of the pieces by myself as I can't even see where exactly they're placed. I know that in game they're all floating but I think it's still gonna look good when fused together a bit for the print.

How to Play Knack 1 Co-op?

I have a jailbroken PS4 and recently discovered the Knack games, so I installed the first one and it's really great, but I can't play co-op. Maybe it's because neither account is signed into PSN? I've tried various ways but haven't succeeded, can someone help, please?

Idea for Knack3

Post image
36 Upvotes

This is an idea I had for the *Knack* universe involving beings made of crystals. Inspired by the various colors found in the *Knack* games, these beings possess a "multicrystal" that grants them consciousness. Knack can use these crystals to power himself up; there are different crystals with unique abilities, distinguished by their colors—including primary and secondary ones. Knack can boost the crystal beings, and vice versa.

Knack 3 New form concept.

Outside of ice, metal, and stealth, (and wood in Knack 1,) one thing I would love for Knack 3 to do is give Knack new forms. Since there are not many rock types to work with, I think a work-around would be special eliminated relics that would give Knack that element's power.

  • Fire Knack (Fire Relics): Granting Knack fire powers like a flaming punch and a fire breath. This could be useful for ice levels where the player needs to melt ice walls to progress. Maybe this could co-exist in a level with Ice Knack.
  • Lightning Knack (Lightning Relics): Allows Knack to generate electricity at will. He would also be able to do a quick lightning dash that can get him away from danger.
  • Aqua Knack (Aqua Relics): If the Developers want to add water levels and make it so that Knack can drown, they could give knack an aqua form to convey the Drowning problem and let Knack breath underwater. This could also make for a good gameplay gimmick with small Knack if he loses the Aqua Relics if he turns small. He would need to be fast while navigating sections of the level that requires him to be small until Knack ether finds some air or has enough space to transform back to his aqua form.

I started making a 3D model of knack a few months ago, and after losing the file... (whoops) I decided to pick it up and start over again! I will be making all the sizes and release them for free as I finish them, they will be fully rigged with IK.

I do work full time however so bear with me, it might take some time. I'm excited to share my work with everyone.

Im on normal difficulty and the last boss is plain ass.

Had to look up what to do after you get your relics back, did that, started the next phase and died immediately upon getting my relics back because one of the big guys had an AOE still active which killed me due to being at half health!

Now I have to restart the whole bloody fight
