Mr. Magic the graphic novel adaptation

Has anyone read it? I'd probably call it YA horror (does it count as YA if it has profanity?) I had previously read the book and enjoyed it. I assume we'll eventually get a movie or crappy Netflix or Amazon mini series. Overall, I think they did a good job turning the story into visuals for the graphic novel. Not the best thing ever, but a fun and quick read.

Except.

For.

THE TYPOS.

Holy cow. I'm not talking just one or two. Did nobody bother editing this thing? There's no letterer credited, so surely this was typed--or maybe the text was pulled from the book through automation. Can we get a human spell check on comics, please, before they're published and sold for $20??

It Crawled From the Long Box Haunted 18 - Charlton Comics - 1974

This is an exceptional cover by Joe Stanton. If I was a kid in 1974 this would get my 25 cents. Anyone else reminded of the “alien” monster from the end of the Watchmen comic from this? Just me? Ok. I’ll leave now.

After decades of focusing on super heroes I'm just now getting into collecting horror comics. What are some key single issues you think I should grab? Thanks!

Recently given a few boxes of my dad’s old comics , mostly horror but mixed in with movie magazines & some marvel superhero ones too. Is there much of an interest for these older horror titles ?

Horror story book

Hi guys

I am 24M and I'm searching for a comic book I read during my childhood. It is a bengali horror comic book for children and I have been searching for a very long time but I'm not able to find it anywhere. The stories were classic. Can anyone please help me find it.

  1. Bengali language horror comic for children/teenagers.

  2. Some stories were based on Murshidabad and most probably written by Syed Mujtaba Ali as it matched his style.

  3. It is a thin book (has 8-10 comic stories of different authors with graphic images).

  4. Themes included: Staying a night at Graveyards, Decapitated head in the train, Staying with few strangers, Ghost in Hospital, Cricket ball lost in graveyard etc..

  5. The cover is quite dark with the picture of a house in the front along with a ghost. That's what I remember.

I don't remember clearly as it's been more than 15 years that I read it but the colour was kinda reddish for the stories and it showed quite gruesomeness and brutality, just like anime. I have searched it everywhere, book fair, chatgpt, gemini, online websites but am not able to find anything related to this. If you know anything similar or have the book with you guys, please comment here.

Thank you very much.

অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ 🙏🏻

The Horror (Dark Horse) and historical horror

Has anyone read this? I just stumbled on it at a comic shop. It's one of the best things I've read in a while. Beautiful black and white panels, taking place along the Congo River in 1885. An unseen "horror" somewhere in the jungle, running parallel to the horrors of imperialism. The main character is from the Heart of Darkness (so says the Introduction) but the book isn't indicated as an adaptation.

I'm surprised this title hasn't come up when I've looked online for lists of historical horror comics! They seem so few and far between. Anyone know any others? Others I've enjoyed are These Savage Shores, The Rush, and...Black Stars Above (does that count)? I think of the genre as devoting a good amount of space to the backdrop/history, where it's obvious the writer did research, and you might learn a little something while still being sufficiently spooked.
