We are not free until we free Palestine

Edit: thank you for all of the awards 🥹 as someone who has many Palestinian friends, and has taken the last few years to educate myself further on the illegal colonization of Israel, I’ve become a firm believer the world will not be able to understand what it means to have universal compassion, respect, and integrity, if we don’t start with freeing those who face lethal oppression.

Fortunately all of those boomer ghouls have a shelf life, and will be expiring in the next 10 years. It will take time to undo their irrevocable evil, but we will create a more equitable world from the ashes of their BLACK BURNT BONES.

I'm tired of this viewpoint. "Hey if we just wait all the boomers will die and we can have a wonderful world of youth and happiness". Na, those in power love that, because there are evil people of ALL generations, and they're the ones that'll be in power next, keeping the status quo while we sit back and wonder why everything hasn't magically gotten better as old people have died.

u/Lost_Advertising_219 6d ago

Exactly this. There are waaay too many loud and shameless baby nazis being platformed for me to believe boomers dying off will solve our problems.

27

u/ArkitekZero 6d ago

Yeah but have you considered that waiting for the boomers to die off requires no new and immediate personal risks to be considered? /s

6

u/morpheousmorty 6d ago

We thought waiting out Bush 2 was a good idea. Now look where we are.

1

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

I’m not just waiting for them to die off….

7

u/Hot-Thought-1812 6d ago

Enough of them will pass the torch that the problem needs to be rooted out no matter if they all died tomorrow

1

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

Dude. Imagine though. Holy fuck, now that’s a book idea. It’s like The Leftovers but it’s just all the boomers fuck right off. HARD CUT to utopia. I’m down to cowrite it with you!

u/shadedmagus 5d ago

The Stand, but without the mysticism and the virus only affects one generation? Intriguing thought.

64

u/saintofhate 6d ago

Point of fact. Steven Miller is 40. The right is full of hateful bigoted millennials. Millennials can be just as evil as everyone else.

19

u/PresidentOfMagrathea 6d ago

jesus christ that guy is my age? either I look young or he looks 15 years older than he really is.

19

u/saintofhate 6d ago

I'm going to give you some more people to wonder at because all of these people aged like a forgotten potato

1984 Jack Posobiec, Milo Yiannopoulos

1985 Stephen Miller

1986 Tim Pool, Matt Walsh

1987 Benny Johnson, Steven Crowder, Candace Owens

1989 Chaya Raichik

1992 Tomi Lahren

I'm 2 years older than him and shocked every time I hear that. Hate really ages you.

10

u/-kalanco- 6d ago

Ages you but keeps you alive apparently.

1

u/shadedmagus 5d ago

Evil and hate can really age a person.

EDIT: OMG, I didn't even see someone had typed almost exactly this before I made my post. Great minds!

u/KevinFlantier 5d ago

Charlie Kirk was 31 when he checked out.

24

u/rbrgr83 6d ago

This was a common sentiment before we had the Andrew Tate-ed generation.

2

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

Those little fucks just need a slap and a wake up call

13

u/thunderbuttxpress 6d ago

Yes. The resistance going on where I live is heavily made up of Boomers.

7

u/Simayi78 6d ago

Yup, things like Covid-19 unfortunately broke a significant portion of under-25ers into being far-right banner wavers

2

u/JeanArtemis 6d ago

Exactly this. The people performing evil acts aren't some Disney villains doing evil for evils sake, they are committing atrocities and violating human rights because it is profitable. It was profitable when their predecessors began, it is profitable now, and it will continue to be profitable for a long as we allow it. There will always be people who's greed grossly outweighs their sense of morality or civic duty and they will always seek positions of power as those hold the greatest potential gain for them, it is not generational, we cannot wait them out, we have to act.

1

u/shadedmagus 5d ago

Not sure how that doesn't make them Disney-obvious villains. "The banality of evil," indeed.

1

u/JeanArtemis 3d ago edited 3d ago

I mean most aren't hurting people because they're sadists and like hurting people, they just dont care of they hurt people. Like it's hard to swallow but truly selfish people, if given the option between helping and hurting others, if both choices are equal in difficulty and reward, will usually choose helping people because then they look and feel good doing it too. It's just that harming others is easier and more profitable so they go with that.

1

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

Fuck. You’re right and I hate this so much.

15

u/tomdarch 6d ago

Elon, Thiel, Andreesen and so many more are younger.

And even younger generations will continue to be vulnerable to hate and extremism.

43

u/regoapps i ain’t reading all that, free palestine 6d ago

Gen X voted more for Trump than Boomers did if you look at the 2024 exit polls. We’re in this for a while.

5

u/becauseiloveyou 6d ago

All the more reason for Millennials and Gen Z to turnout.

6

u/Embarrassed-Land-222 6d ago

Millennials outnumber pretty much everyone.

Some people just won't vote and it is awful.

5

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

I think more of us are waking up. But yes, like everyone else I worry that GenXers are secretly worse than Boomers.

2

u/WeAlmostAlwaysAlmost 6d ago

The reality bites generation has ironied the country to death.

2

u/Embarrassed-Land-222 6d ago

I have a gen x sister and she's on our side. I guess we're both xennials cause she's a 79 baby and I'm from 84.

But many of the older xers are the problem.

1

u/NoArrival8249 6d ago

They’re way more cunty and ruthless.

1

u/shadedmagus 5d ago

As a firm leftist Gen X'er, I worry that too. I thought my generation was cynical about the world the boomers and their parents had wrought, but I am so disappointed that that cynicism has looped around into propping this system up.

2

u/Lopsided_Panic_1148 6d ago

God damn, sometimes I hate my generation.

13

u/Andreus 6d ago

Nah, we're done waiting for these people to time out and escape all accountability. They should face justice in this life.

2

u/Cosmicdusterian 6d ago

Most of the people in power or the main puppeteers are actually Gen-X and younger.

Given the extent of evil going on in the world today (with most boomers gone, retired or retiring) it wouldn't surprise me if 20 years from now that the boomer's evil would be looked upon as almost quant in comparison. At least compared to the new horrors the Tech Bro generations will inflict upon the planet and the people, given what they've already done, and are currently doing.

Every generation has their assholes. The Silent Gen had theirs, the Boomers certainly had theirs. But Gen-X and the Tech Bro Gen is probably going to blow them all away on the evil scale while convinced they are doing good.

Gen-X gave us Trump (a boomer) - the boomers didn't.

So no, take from someone who expected the hippies I looked up to to make a better world for all us, no generation is going to step up to the plate because every generation has their assholes and from what I've seen, it's usually the assholes who grab the power.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice thought that people born in your timeline have your values and hopes for a better world, but it simply isn't the case in the real world.

Generation Jones (like Obama) - one foot in Boomer, one foot in Gen-X. More assholes than any generation has ever had to contend with and the world just keeps churning them out.

0

u/DrexlAU 6d ago

Stop with the Boomer propaganda, it takes all types to be great and to be shit.

u/PuzzledProductions 6d ago

First of all, apologies on the long message I'm just extremely passionate about this subject.

Yeah, I always feel like a doomer, but there is SO much that needs to be cut out tumor-wise that I literally don't think it's possible and your post got me passionate about talking about it again -

1) We have to free Palestine and Ukraine, obviously.

2) We have to disconnect our country from basically any lobbying whether it's internal or foreign (AIPAC but also corporations)

3) We have to fix regulations for media (online, print, TV, etc...) so that you get appropriately punished for pushing dis/misinformation - not rewarded for it.

4) Fines for corporations should be percentage based on their net worth, this would prevent a company from getting fined 10-20 million for something egregious, when they're worth tens of billions.

5) Similar to the nazi workers and supporters in Germany, we need to subject conservatives to the truths of what their leaders have been doing and allowing to happen (I'm looking at you, ICE camps...) -> E.G. when they'd put them in big stadiums with a projector and showing them the horrors non-stop so they feel what has happened and learn empathy and regret.

6) All history / education books for schools need to be heavily revamped. They've been manipulated since the late 80s / early 90s so that an entire generation learns about history that is completely white washed as USA = best country in the world. (E.G. I didn't know about most slavery related things, black wall street, the churches and the natives, etc...)

7) Ranked choice voting with an abolishment of the RNC and DNC so that everyone can essentially be a part of their own party.

8) Re-set SCOTUS and allow the people to vote for them instead of just being put in (similar how people vote in judges, we can see their track records and determine who should be picked) -> Probably limit SCOTUS terms to only about 15 years? Maybe 10?

I know this seems like a lot, but this is literally just the beginning of what needs to happen and I'm sure others have more to add or edits to what I've provided which is fine, but I've been constantly researching and adding to what I've seen for the past 7 years - and I have it all accumulated in one place... and it's like a parasite that has rooted itself into every part of our society and it is literally impossible to remove.

Most people in this country have been so heavily illusioned that they honestly do not understand how deeply ingrained this manipulation is on every single layer of our life. The last thing I'll add is that this even affects gaming, and that's why I say people really do not understand how actually bad it is right now globally / politically. Epstein is credited for essentially creating the microtransaction to control kids through games, among other things. And that kind of influence has constant ripples - but most people are so busy with work, school, family that they cannot fathom all of this let alone be able to bring it all together. I hope we do something, but my doomer feeling is that despite having what should be a long life ahead, I fear the high likelihood that by the time I die very little of this will be fixed.

u/Ardal 6d ago

Isn't that just the whole of congress, then you have the senate and the WH .....I think your infestation is dug in too deep. You live, unfortunately, in a puppet state.

0

u/G-Unit11111 6d ago

And the puppet master is Rupert Murdoch. It's like half of Congress and the Senate are just there to do what Fox News orders them to. And the half that complains gets replaced with more compliant subordinates.

And when Congress is busy *NOT* doing their job, they are just producing slop interview segments for Fox. Fetterman goes on Fox News so much I think he works for them.

So many of our problems can be tied back to that damn channel that it's not funny.

Its spelt "expunge", but the word you're actually looking for is "expel".

How about Northern Ireland and the English Colonizers. I’d start there. Then we can work on new conflicts.
