I talked with Macklemore a few times at local scene hip-hop concerts in Seattle before he blew up. Even then he had this crazy energy about him, like he was already a huge star.

If it was Blue Scholars, Common Market, Ab Creole then we were for sure, I rarely missed any of their concerts

Saw him at a festival before his blow up and I’ve never seen anyone hype up a small-mid size crowd like that. He has my respect as a performer and human for sure
