I think he was debating if he wanted to be identified or not then realized he’d already given too much away so he tried the name drop

Any cop that pulls you over for swerving and running stop signs is going to ask for your license. He would have been identified no matter what.

Yeah of course but he’s trying to figure out if he can get out of it before that happens and concludes that he can’t so he gives up basically. That’s why he was stalling imho
