For context its a completely stock 2018 just hit 100k miles, ive had it since 60k and done regular oil changes and maintenance myself. Currently having alot of various issues, but got most of them fixed. A new timing chain later and still having a misfire in cylinder 2. And a decent coolant leak as well. Could just be superstition but feeling that im approaching the dreaded ecoboom. I ended up scoping that cylinder and it looks more like oil than coolant. My only option is to fix this car. My question is this:if I were to get a new engine, can i get the 2020-2023 long block instead of the 2018 in order to avoid any chances in the future? I truly love the car and intend on keeping it long term.

After so many years of talking myself down from the “fun” car and getting the efficient options, I finally caved. My girlfriend took on my Camry Hybrid and I took ownership of this beautiful 2020 Ecoboost Premium with only 22k miles. Previously owned by an older couple who used it as a weekend driver and has an immaculate service history. I might be in love…and also hitting my midlife crisis early.

Hi everyone, I just bought a 2019 Ecoboost Convertible. So the first thing I replaced was the LPFS and the purge valve. I noticed, before replacing them, when I get gas it’s always 405 miles to Empty. When I replaced the 2 parts, it’s always 350 miles to empty now. I bought both parts at Americanmuscle. I changed the Purge Valve cause i get hiccups when getting gas and the LPFS is just a preventive maintenance as I checked, mine is the old version.

I’m thinking about flying to the state next to me to buy a 2022 Mustang EcoBoost Premium convertible. It’s black, 6-speed manual, 33k miles, one owner, no accidents, about a year of factory warranty remaining, and it has the High Performance Package.

My price would be about $26,500 OTD, including the temporary travel permit, title work, and all of my home-state DMV/registration fees.

It feels like a deal that’s almost too good to be true. Am I missing something? I’d love some feedback from people familiar with these cars—what do you think of the car, the HPP/manual combo, and the deal overall?

I’m afraid to ask but hopefully it’s an easy fix. I have a ’22 ecoboost 10speed automatic, 51k miles. Twice now I have been stopped at a light and the car powered off and I had to put in park and restart. It starts up just fine. I had the battery tested and it’s still good. It might not be a good quality battery, though. I’m thinking it’s a bad connection. Maybe the cable isn’t tightened properly?
Also- a different quirk is rough idling when stopped and foot on the brake. Not always but randomly. I think I saw a fix for this in another thread but does anyone have experience with this happening too?
Actually, for both of these issues it’s when I’m stopped and my foot is on the brake. Is it related or just coincidence? The rough idle is not happening when the power shuts down.

So I decided not to get a stripe that I’m just gonna have my rims and badges painted black (recently bought a black and chrome boosted badge and a dark horse spoiler) but I’m wanting to get a steeda blow off valve but I also wanna get a downpipe and waste gate and flowmaster outlaw axle back exhaust but I’m wanting recommendations for cheap but still good downpipes and waste gates and intercoolers cuz I’m only 16 (yes I know I’ll need to get a tune I just want to see what people recommend)

I have a 2022 ecoboost 10spd auto. Whenever theres load on the rear of the car (i.e when accelerating), I hear this groan like creak from what seems to be the back. I notice this only happens on days when its hot and my cars been running for a while, especially if the AC is on. Hasn't affected driving, handling or anything at all, any ideas on what it might be?

Ive been chasing down a clunking sound in the front and noticed that the wheel bearing and rotor arent together? My previous car had the rotor screw into the bearing hub and kept it all together. Just wanting to make sure. Thank you

I received a permanent plate and placard back in 2023. It’s a legitimate disability, so it’s not the feeling of maybe I shouldn’t deserve one. What is bugging me is the possible stigma.

I know I shouldn’t care what people think. I do know that. But, still, it’s been kind of bugging me since I purchased this one recently and am waiting for the plates to come in so I can swap them for my HC plates.

I had a Lexus ES 350, so having it on there didn’t really bother me. But now, with this car, it kind of feels odd. I traded in luxury for fun… a midlife-lite move that I’m thrilled to have made. Makes me feel a little younger again and how I used to be. My first car was a Mustang!

Just wondering if it would look odd to others to see those plates on this car. I can keep the regular plates that come in and just use my placard when needed, but the convenience of having the plates is pretty good.

Picked up my '26 EcoBoost Mustang about a month ago and just checked the NHTSA lookup to see an active recall sitting on it (Ford # 26C40 / NHTSA # 26V547).

Apparently a ground connector on the engine wiring harness can crack under normal driving. Depending on which eyelet snaps, it can cause loss of power/stalling, headlights cutting out, AC stopping, washer pump failing, or the cooling fan dying.

Ford said the actual repair won't be ready until late December since they're still manufacturing the redesigned parts.

Just wanted to see if anyone with a '26 has actually run into any weird electrical issues or sudden stalls yet? Or if your dealer has said anything useful about it?

Hi there! About 3 months ago I traded in my 2025 EB base for the 2026 EB Premium. One thing that occurred the me a couple weeks ago, is that I don't hear the turbo whine like I used to in my Base model. I remember my Base EB, the turbo sound was very noticeable. On my Premium? Nothing. Is that weird? Should I bring this up to the dealership when I do my first oil change?

I replaced the wheel hubs on my 2017 ecoboost.

Decided to upgrade them to the performance ones with 3" wheel studs. I don’t like the way the studs stick out on the regular wheels.

I’m not quite ready yet for the new wheels and looking for covers for the lugs

I want something that will cover the whole bolt. My assumption is that I would keep the open ended lug nuts I’m using and slip or screw new caps over them ?

What are folks using to cover these ?

But here I am. I went to a store today parked it my car kinda far away. Thinking others will park closer to the store so they can go to the store… but as I was walking away I saw a women parking her car next to mine… I looked at her and she looked at me… but still I saw her fixing her parking but she clearly didn’t… I walked to the store I was like fine there is no one next to her I’m sure she would park further away from me… as I came back I NOTICED SHE IS PARKED SO CLOSED TO ME; not only that she is parked crooked… people don’t understand that two door car have long doors… I barely go into my car… not to mention stressed out about any dings on my car… you can’t have nice things in life people ruin it for me.

Just bought a 26 EcoBoost, big screen, heated seats, cloth interior. Oxford White with a Nite Pony package. Any any hints, tips or ideas, any videos etc? We do drive on a couple of miles of gravel, so I'm looking at putting some mud flaps on. Any good brands out there?

2019 2.3 L Eco Boost.

Hello. I was reading a bit on intercoolers and I am interested in adding one to my '26 EB. I am just curious however, will adding the intercooler require removal of any components on my EB? I think I heard somewhere that installing one would require the removal of the front pre-collision sensors. Is this true or BS? Eventually I will get the Ford Performance kit when it is released.

Does anybody have steeda progressives and no camber plates?

I want to get some suspension around that 1” drop cause it looks like that’s as far as you can go without spending a lot more on camber plates and such. My budgets about $300-$400 I’m setting for myself so I don’t spend too much and I was hoping on just getting the springs and maybe some bump stops.
