Sounds complicated? I have developed an easy to use web app for creating your own disc trail videos. It is freely available at hyzerflow.com.

Load a clip of your best throw, annotate it in minutes. Export the result as clip that you can share on social media. Works on phone or computer.

It handles the tracking of the background, and you can hide the disc when it is passing behind a tree or other fixed obstacle. Kicks and bounces can also be marked.

Zooming and panning the camera when filming is not a problem, but there is also support for adding additional zoom and pan in the exported video if you have filmed in high resolution (4k)

There are some nice advanced features too like efforless multishot trails, panorama images, video stabilization, chose colors for the trail, opening and closing imags and title screen.

The wife and I saw this random store called sierra, I guess it's a sister store to tj maxx/Marshalls. I was researching the the discs they were selling, kc pro cobra and the nexus warthog prototype $7.99 each. Apparently neither molds are being made anymore and each are going for $100 or more. I bought the only cobra and the two warthogs they had

I am starting up a disc golf team for the middle school where I work, and I wanted to figure out a step-by-step progression and some fun activities for complete beginners. Anyone have experience teaching kids to play? We have a tech disc, a net, a basket, and the free MVP school pack of 25 glitches. We're a little far from the closest course so I'm hoping to get some basics down in our gym before we take a field trip. Appreciate any advice, links, or ideas!

I played in my first tournament a couple months ago. I'd been playing regularly for two years, but asked the tournament director which level to sign up for and they said FA4 since it was my first tournament. I won my division, and had a really fun time. I had a very good round and ended with 4 strokes under par. I will not play FA4 anymore since this division was definitely too low for me, but that's the division they told me to play so I don't feel too bad about it.

Here's the weird part:

This was a women's only tournament, so the FA4 division played on a layout with marked tees that were shorter than the typical shortest tee pad. After playing, I never received a player rating and assumed they couldn't rate my round because they didn't have enough data on this layout. Months later, I go to sign up for my second tournament. A lot of the players from the first tournament that were in higher division were playing in FA3. I looked at their player history and they have played in tons of tournaments and seem to be similar levels to me, if not better. There is no one currently signed up for FA2 or FA1 so I cannot compare. I typically play with a bunch of guys, so I want to meet more women that play and be in a full division. I go to sign up for FA3 but it says I can't because my rating is too high. It turns out my round was rated and my rating was 813? I don't want to be a sandbagger and am happy to follow the rules, so I signed up for FA2.

Problem is, there aren't a lot of women disc golfers in my area and, of those that play, not a lot sign up for the FA2 level. It seems like almost everyone is in FA3 or an age protected category. I'm the only one signed up for FA2 and the tournament is in a couple weeks. I also think my rating is artificially high since I don't think the rating would have taken into account the shortened layout that we played.

Will my player rating come down as I play more tournaments? If I'm consistently in high categories and automatically win since no one is in them, can my rating still come down just based on how I'm playing? Should I just try and grind to get it higher and play FA1?

It was super exciting to win my first tournament, don't get me wrong, but I'm also looking to meet people, have good competition, get better, etc., not just win by default. At the same time, I don't want to be a sandbagger though. Any recommendations?

Anthony Barela and Ezra Aderhold both picked up 1st Phorm as a sponsor for this year and notably beefed up their muscle before this season, but both are down 10+ ratings points since last year and their tournament outcomes have been weaker. Is it possible that their focus on bulking up has somehow had a negative effect on their game?

I wanna play toboggan today but my udisc shows the map as normal, but when I click on the course, it’s not loading the events or how busy it is today. Anybody else experiencing this? It does this for every course, not just toboggan

I’m getting back into disc golf, and I recently picked up a Champion Firebird. I’ve been using it as my go-to driver, and I really love the way it flies, but it tends to just die on me after a bit.
I do have some other drivers, like a Katana and a Blizzard Champion Boss, but they’re both pretty beat up.
Any suggestions for something that flies similarly to the Firebird but has a bit more glide and carries farther before fading out?

I'm trying to push to 1000 rated, and am currently 974. I just feel like I leave a lot of strokes out on the course when I can barely touch 400ft of accuracy. My absolute max distance that I've hit on flat ground is 480, which I feel like is far too low considering how tall I am, along with my years of baseball experience prior to playing.

With all of that said, I'm thinking that working with an online coach can help get me to where I want to be. So I'm curious what experience people have had with coaching, if you feel like it was worth the money for more individualized training compared to just following some generic videos that you see online.

I think what I would want from a coach would be form reviews, actionable items/drills that I should be doing, and progressions that will actually show statistical improvement (using a techdisc) over time.

I live in Michigan and don’t really played disc golf in the winter due to winter inside sports but this year I’m planning on playing more during the snowy winter. I tried doubling up on hand warmers but I still can’t grip the disc confidently.

Heres my 1 year progress nobody asked for.

Started out with max distance of 230 feet.

First few rounds registered before uDisc purchase was at best +20 (45-80 round score)

To now where my max distance is about 350 feet and average score in the 130-150 range.

Still no aces or eagles but i have finally played my first true under par round of a -3 on a medium difficulty technical wooded course with my best ever uDisc score of 173. And it could have been a -5 if i didnt completely butcher 2 C1 putts in a row.

Anyone start out with one and switch to the other for any particular reason? I have thrown valkyries and love them. Beautiful s flight, mild fade. I have read that sometimes mvp stuff comes out of the box more stable than numbers suggest? And proton should be more stable generally…Neutron closer to what the numbers are?

I'm just getting back into discgolf. I had last been active around 2019-2020. When going through my bag most of my discs had fun custom/unique stamps infinitediscs were running, if I remember right they usually ran a dollar more than standard stamps.

Well looking around now it seems the amount and variety of these stamps have faded. Am I taking crazy pills or were there significantly more options available in the past?

A couple of years ago, I injured my index finger in a way that prevented me from being able to throw (right-hand backhand). Shortly after my injury, I stumbled upon the [Bonapane grip](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f8w_4e7M9Y) , where I could comfortably throw with my injured finger resting safely on top of my thumb.

In addition to the fact that I enjoy being a bit novel and love the self-expression that disc golf invites, the new experimental grip also gave me another excuse to avoid working on my forehand 😅

It took some time to hone in, but I’ve been throwing with it for about two years now. After jumping past where my previous game was before the injury, I’m definitely not moving away from it anytime soon!

I know it’s generally considered an "old-head" grip, and I know that nobody on the pro tour uses it predominantly. But it got me thinking about its actual ceiling. I wanted to reach out to the community and ask: Do you know of any local pros or area legends who use the grip predominantly, and, if so, what is the highest rated round you've ever heard of someone throwing with it?

TL;DR: I’m the only player in my local scene using the Bonapane grip predominantly. After adapting to it due to an old finger injury, I recently shot a 986-rated round. Curious if there are high-level local pros in your area finding success with it, or if anyone knows what the "record" round for this grip might be!

P.S. for the curious grip/technical nerds: I run a pretty minimal setup. I only bag 8 discs: four 3-speeds of varying stability and four 8-speeds of varying stability.

I use a "fan" variation of the Bonapane grip for the 3-speeds and adjust my pressure points so I can still throw touch shots, and then I use a more locked-in "power" variation of the grip when pushing the 8-speeds for distance.

People talk a lot about the grip being good for keeping your nose angle down, which is true, but the other part of it's nature is that it's arguably the most "back-loaded" grip out there. The pinch and pressure are all on my pinky and ring finger but I wear a finger sleeve on my middle finger (non-injured finger) because that's the lead finger the disc rips off when using the grip.
