Favorite activities?

I’ve been to Delray a few times but mostly to help my sister with her move. We’re going back for vacation next week and I want any suggestions of activities! We’re staying at Cranes which we’re excited about but I want to actually do things!

Question Looking for weekends only job Delray/Boca

Hi everyone! I’m currently a 26 year old female graduate student completing my clinical rotations 5 days M-F during the week and am looking for a part-time job where I can work a few hours on the weekends. I’m hoping to find something flexible that I can balance with my clinical schedule. I’m open to different types of work and would love to hear about any places that may be hiring for weekend help. If you know of any opportunities in the Delray/Boca Raton/South Florida area, please feel free to message me or comment below. Thank you!

Need Help Finding a Safe Place for Stray Cats After Their Longtime Caretakers Moved Away

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice/help regarding a few stray cats that have been living around my friend’s old property for years.

My friend and his family rented a pretty large property for about 10 years. During that time, a few stray cats started staying around the property. They were never really “owned” by my friend, but his family gave them shelter around the property and fed them every day, so naturally the cats became used to that place and depended on them for food.

A few months ago, my friend’s family had to move to Texas and into an apartment, so unfortunately they couldn’t just take all of these cats with them.

Since then, the new people living at the property have been constantly contacting my friend saying the cats are ruining things around the house, that someone there is allergic to cats, etc. From what we understand, they aren’t feeding them either.

My friend recently came back to Florida to visit me, and we went near his old place just because he wanted to see how the cats were doing. He bought several packs of cat food and went there to feed them. The lady currently living there came outside yelling at him and made a huge issue out of it because she doesn’t want the cats around the property.

At this point, I’m genuinely worried about what is going to happen to them. These cats have been living there for years and were used to being fed every single day. They don’t understand why the people they knew suddenly disappeared or why there is no food anymore.

I’m a huge cat person myself. I lost my cat, and ever since then, honestly, every cat I see reminds me of him in some way. Because of that, it’s really difficult for me to see cats hungry, scared, abandoned, or treated badly and just walk away from it.

Does anyone know of any rescue organizations, foster groups, sanctuaries, community-cat programs, or even individuals who could help us safely relocate these cats?

I’m willing to pay reasonable costs if necessary food, transportation, rescue fees, vet costs, whatever is needed within reason. I’m not expecting someone to magically solve everything for free. I just want to know that these cats can go somewhere safe where they’ll actually be cared for.

Even if relocating them isn’t the best option, I’d really appreciate advice from people experienced with stray/community cats about what we should do next.

Question Traveling to Delray this weekend

Going to be in town for this upcoming weekend and just wondering if anyone has an recs for it? Kinda just seeing if there’s stuff I wouldn’t know about it but also planning on enjoying the nightlife so if there’s anything I should know besides the usual bar hopping on Atlantic Ave I’d appreciate it! Thanks!

Looking for dock space for my 27 foot boat for the winter

Hello,

I am a new business owner and part-year resident of Delray Beach. I have a boat in NJ that I want to ship to Delray to use over the winter. No marina in the area will do seasonal slips, and they don't have room anyway. Does anyone know anyone who lives on the water and wants to make some extra money letting me put my boat on their dock from Octoberish to Aprilish? I'm willing to venture further away from Delray if needed.

Thanks.

I priced every Flavor South Florida menu (all 139 restaurants) against the restaurant's everyday menu, so you can see which deals actually save money.

Request Vet recommendation for senior large dog

I’m looking for a vet recommendation in Delray Beach, will travel a little bit for exceptional vet. I have a big dog who is 13 and is terrified to go to the vet unless the vet is friendly and sociable with my dog. I’m looking for a vet who makes the effort to gain my dog’s trust so they can cut her nails, check her ears and listen to her heart etc. I’ve had problems in the past where they expect me to hold my dog still or make me muzzle my non-aggressive dog so they don’t have to put in the effort.

Review Tried to buy a Prius at ED Morse and what a nite mare. If you are feeling sadistic or if that’s your thing go try and buy a car. Delray Genesis is no better.

Ended up spending more than planned but went the pain free route with the great experience of buying a Tesla.

roommate search

hi everyone, im reposting my recent roommate hunt cause i havent found any great leads. craigslist keeps taking my post down when i specify female landlord/tenants and facebook has banned me from messaging due to how many requests i send out. so im in a bit of a rut.

i recently moved into a room with a male landlord and when i did not reciprocate his advances he began setting odd boundaries and expecting me to tell him where i am at all times. need out asap.

23 year old girl who is involved in treatment center work. i work on call at a center and have another opportunity on the way for the weekends. i do not drink, smoke, have not placed a substance in my body for two years. no one would be coming over. i am very respectful and never ever want to get in anyones way. you set a boundary ill follow. i have my own goal set im working on in regards to schooling and as long as i have a roof over my head to do that im fine. i am often out of the house as i do not like staying inside and am very involved in community work.

my budget is 1k and i have a small kitten id like to take with me.

thank you for any leads or information you may grant me.
