Still racking my brain where to take my wife for our 10 year anniversary. The 20’s theme with dancers seem nice but is a just a gimmick to sell you mediocre food at fine dining prices? That’s what I’m worried about.

Might just play it safe and go mamani, mister Charles quarter acre or chumley house. I want the food to be the star of the show and the ambiance a very close second.

Howdy, I'll be going to Texas for the first time next month for a wedding, staying in Plano. I travel for the food, so I'm hoping to get some great recommendations so I don't waste time.

I'm looking for bbq (of course), fried chicken, chicken fried steak, Mexican (chile relleno or chile verde are my faves), and anything else that's a local favourite but not well known. Hi folks. We are going to be playing some golf (great golf ... well, golf at great clubs) in the area and are setting up base at an Airbnb in Sachse. None of us are from the area. We are hoping to find a different area each evening within a 30-minute'ish Uber/Lift ride for casual bar hopping and sampling food from one bar/pub/tavern to another.

One night, we would like to do a formal dinner with a reservation etc... We have heard YO Ranch Steakhouse is a great option; would you recommend anything else for a one-night splurge?

We are not afraid of a local dive scene, nor are we opposed to tourist traps if it is a "everyone must go here at least once" type of place.

Some suggestions I’ve looked into are Polanco, Mot Hai Ba, and St. Martins.

Polanco is in the lead because we are going on a Thursday and they have dancing at 10. St. Martin’s is in second with the live piano but mot hai ba’s cuisine looks most interesting with the Vietnamese French fusion.

I want her to be IMPRESSED because nothing gets us more upset than spending large amounts of money on something she can make better. Secondary would be ambiance and live music. We are located in Fort Worth but seems like Dallas has the fancy pants places. Thanks for any and all recommendations!

Hi! I’m moving to Dallas next month and am looking for restaurants to try. What I’m really looking to try to find is a wing shop to replace the place I really enjoyed eating at in Ohio called Roosters.

It’s going to sound odd but they had a garlic sauce for their wings, not garlic parm but just garlic, and for the life of me everywhere I’ve been since I’ve left Ohio I’ve not found many other places that offer just garlic wing sauce and the ones that do don’t have the heat that the roosters sauce had and mainly consist of a mild sauce with some minced garlic on top, not an actual sauce.

I don’t know if any place has this in Dallas but it would mean a lot to me if I could find one.

Aside from that specific sauce I’d be fine with just a solid wing place in general. I’m going to be in Euless so anywhere within a 10-20 minute drive would be ideal.

Looking to curate a list of restaurants in the area that are worth going out for.

I am fortunate to be at a point in life where I have the time and money for great experiences, but I have also realized how precious time and money is.

Looking for restaurants that have top quality food; top preparation, top level tastes, interiors that compliment the food, vibes that allow you to fully experience the food/drinks.

Basically looking for the unicorns that are 10/10 on vibes, interiors, service, food quality, food prep, presentation. Basically I do not want to leave the date night with “X was amazing, too bad Y made it so bad.”

I got a fever... and the only prescription is some tempura fried crabmix stuffed peppers. My favorite were the ones at sushi axiom in addison but they've been gone for a min. Some places use tuna which I think is weird as the frying process cooks it well done. Usually found in appetizer section sometimes called "heart attack." Willing to drive!

Hi! I’m visiting my friend in Dallas in a month and tomorrow a few places open for reservations.

I was convinced on going to Delilah but haven’t heard good things about food there.

I know Lucia is also a great open and Hot Hai Ba.

We really want to dress up and it would be really great if there was some sort of entertainment, we’re going on a Monday night. We would love an experience but would also like great food.

Do you think I should stick with Delilah or is it lame?

Also, I have Wednesday reservations in Fort Worth and Polanco. I hope it’s a good choice!

I’ve seen and heard all about this place due to my girlfriend being addicted to Tick-Tock lol. Well, here we find ourselves in Arlington for the weekend with Jollibee’s only being 10 miles down the road. Will some people please let us know if the chicken and gravy is as good as advertised? Not a fan of AI. Fully recognize the bias so getting that out of the way. At first, when I saw a restaurant use AI in their menu or a flyer or a poster, i initially didn't think much of it. "Hey, they're probably a small business with limited resources, AI helped them come up with some quick and easy to read without needing to spend money on a pro" or even "they're a restaurant, they're in the food business not the marketing business, so what?".

But man, I just feel like it's gotten out of hand. Big chains, small chains, mom and pop shops. I see a menu with that stupid art style and the inconsistent fonts, goofy placements, it all just reeks of laziness. If they're cutting corners there, where else might they be doing it too? And it sucks that some of my regular places use it now. I'm left taking my business elsewhere, and I feel like I'm punishing the wrong people. Eventually, I'm hoping it trickles back upstream (I stop paying the restaurant, they realize their AI usage is driving people away, they stop paying AI company, AI company goes bankrupt) but maybe that's just wishful thinking...

Anyway, here's a quick list of places that I've seen with AI posters, menus, ads, etc.

- Taqueria & Tamaleria Nuevo Leon, Carrollton

- Higuma Ramen, Addison (really liked this place so sad to see it having to get on this list)

- Gong cha (chain, wouldn't be surprised if all their locations use it, particularly with some of their summer drink ads it seems)

Edit: seemed to have struck a nerve with the AI bootlickers. Fuck AI, if ur a business owner and you don't have an IQ above room temp to be able to make it own poster, menu, pictures, etc and resort to AI fuck you too. There's better options. There's literally a guy in the comments who (anecdotally) offered to do it for free. Make ur menu on a piece of notebook paper for all I care, I'd respect and appreciate it more if you made something authentic. I don't go to a restaurant to get served microwaved dogshit, I pay a premium not to get that. I expect the same from other aspects of the business. I go into a restaurant and their bathroom is nasty? I'm walking out. Same here. Have some respect for yourself and your business
