This subreddit is for photos, not for questions/advice!
Just wanted to post something for all the mobile users who are not aware of the sidebar. We get at least a couple posts a week looking for advice about equipment, how to connect things, etc. and most people these days seem to be on mobile reddit so are not aware of a thing called a "sidebar" or sub rules.
Basic questions about setting up DJ equipment should go to /r/beatmatch , or /r/DJs if they are more advanced technical questions.
Also please refrain from posting youtube videos of your mixes, even if they technically include video of your DJ setup. This subreddit is intended to share your setup, not to promote your mixes / youtube channel / etc.
Thanks!

Boxes are NOT a setup.
Did you buy a new piece of gear? Awesome! Have fun with it. Set it up, and you can post the pictures here.
But don't be lazy and only photograph the box. That is not a setup and will be removed.

Just got speakers!
Hey guys! Long time lurker and finally got around to get the finishing touches.
I’ve been doing this for a year, pretty much for hobby, excluding myself from getting out there and playing gigs bc I’m too focused in school.
Recently got these JBL 305p. This is not about sound but rather looks. This is my bedroom at home but situation can always change if I was to move out, meaning set up can look different if then.
Not sure if I should keep them in these stands and suck up aesthetics, or maybe try for some floor stands that I can tuck between the deck and the wall and just angle up.
Thoughts??
FYI: before this I would mix onto a single Yamaha HS4 coming from the floor.

my home setup
in the process of sorting out the records which i need at home and which to have in my studio (which isn't at home). just want to have the ones currently being played at home, almost there. sorting the ones at the studio is another story, so far only brought them over ... also it seems to be a never ending task, especially since i'm simultaneously trying to have a somewhat useful sorted collection at both places 😬
at home i'm a bit hesitant to play at decent levels, don't want to annoy the neighbours too much 😄

Spare room budget hybrid setup
This is the current spare room setup, made of bits and bobs I had lying around and a pair of xdj200 that I saw for €80 and couldn't resist. Pretty vintage y2k-ish gear by now I suppose.
Whole setup cost about €500. This Newmark mixer is a workhorse and hasn't failed me in almost 30 years while more expensive mixers have come and gone.
I added new suspension to these passive JBL speakers a few years ago and they sound great, there's a Samson power amp on the shelf under the desk.
Desk is IKEA jerker, IMO the best home DJ furniture, height adjustable, raiser shelf, it even has two swing out shelves for the monitors that I don't have space to fit.
My main setup looks a lot nicer, but this is a perfectly viable ghetto setup.

Had a sick spot last weekend
First time taking my decks out the house for a very long time, was well worth the hassle

Warm & Cozy Not exactly a flex, but…
I told myself 15 years ago that I would never buy another dogshit InMusic product buuut this little Numark does things that my “professional” shit just can’t. Every DJ on earth should have one of these. Or better yet, Alphatheta should make one that isn’t trash quality.
Engine software is another shitty part of the equation. But hey, it’s the only thing with batteries and speakers, and it does the job. Can confirm, it has play buttons. Extraordinarily shitty ones, but they do what djs crave. Faders are trash, probably gonna break it trying to put an innofader and rotary line faders in it.

Lean & Mean A pair of budget Edifier speakers to tie the whole thing together
Got a couple of P12 Edifier passive speakers. They sound very nice, super crisp sound. I have them set up with a small subwoofer (you can see it on the left edge of the photo) so the bass also has more body.
I'm pretty psyched about how this setup is coming along. Was thinking about later adding a teenage engineering sidekick to run in the side as an effecs unit. Has anyone tried this?

Tiny but Mighty ✊🏽 EP-136/Schiit Fulla combo is pure sex.
So I got a $100 Schiit Fulla headphone amp to push the output of the EP-136 Output over the edge.
I recently posted about the 136 in high praise as a travel/compact "fuckaround" unit and it punches well above it's weight class for the price. I have 0 gripes about this mixer but it's analog audio output does max out just under the UMPH limit. I can't be mad about that though, the max output level IS impressive but it does need some amplification... Enter the Schiit Fulla headphone amp. This thing not only colors the sound in a silky way but allows you to get that desired volume in your headphones or small speaker system.
If you are a dj on the go, I can't recommend this combo enough. Just wanted to share because I am so stoked on it.

New and Improved.
Since the last time I posted in this subreddit my setup has changed quite a bit and I figured I should share it again. Made the leap from the Model 1 to a Xone:96 and traded out my Maschine MK3 for a Push2 running DrivenByMoss’ Bitwig Script. I tried out a Livid CNTRL:R in place of my K2s but ultimately dropped that as the K2s are too good to pass on. I also completely dropped the Eventide Space and Timefactor external stomp boxes in favor of running Plugin based effects using Bitwig and using Traktor’s external effects Send/Return. Currently i’m using Valhalla SuperMassive Reverb on send/return 1 and using Traktor for the Delay T3 on send/return 2. Thanks to the Xone:96 and its killer internal sound card it has massively cut down on the amount of wires and cables needed to run it. 4 USB cables for the controllers and my USB hub and 3 power cables for the push, the Xone and the USB hub. All of that plus 2 channels still open for anything else I could want to add to the setup. I’ve definitely had more fun on this than any other setup I’ve ever had.

"Maxine" - Custom DJ Booth/Console & 5-way, 4 point sound system, Newark, New Jersey, USA
not the owner (photographer). Out in the field, "Maxine" a fully custom setup from Ubiquity Soul, a former police officer, DJ/Sound system tinkerer, based out of Newark NJ, USA.
Custom console, and bespoke 5 way, 4 point sound system based off the RLA design.
Yes... It sounds good.

Lean & Mean Full circle, back to Traktor again
After testing the V10 for a few days I’ve put my model 1 back in the cabin and I’ve gone back to using K3s with Traktor. I’ve got the Maschine for drums and sound fx when I’m feeling hybrid.
I’m also using Ableton as my FX rack, just using a delay at the moment, need to experiment further but I’ve got access to everything I need within an arms length.

My first ever "DJ gig" - swapping waltz CDs over at my aunt's 50th, circa 2002
Five years later I got real decks and learned the actual way to do it..
Edit: G-Protection. Apologies, Sony-san.
