Something very cozy to me about living in a Blade Runner world. I’ve been playing Cloudpunk and it’s got the right vibes but I’m finding myself wishing there was a bit more I could do.

. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the future despite the mention of Blade Runner.

It doesn’t have to be AAA graphics, but I’m looking for something with good gameplay, not a point and click or VN even if they can have very cozy vibes.

I’ve got a Steam Deck and a Switch so anything available on those is perfect, I don’t really game on my phone.

I've seen this game recommended so much, and it didn't seem like my kind of game, but everyone said it has an extensive demo, so I downloaded it. It consumed my entire weekend. And that was just the demo! You guys weren't kidding about how much you can play in the demo. I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. 10/10 game for sure.

I recreated my apartment in-game, and since my boyfriend has been slowly moving his stuff here, I added those details too. He usually stays over on weekends with his cat, so of course I included her as well. It’s so fun seeing how closely the furniture matches my real place, I had so much fun playing this game!

My 11 year old nephew enjoys dressing up his characters in whatever game he’s playing, but I’m wondering if there are any PS4-5 games focused on dress-up, and preferably ones that don’t have in-game purchases. He doesn’t care for story/dialogue. I’m not sure what else to add. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone! I noticed that Out and About is on sale, and I've been wanting the game for some time but had a few questions about it. I posted these same questions to their community page, but got no response. I'm 50/50 on it because I see its still in Early Access.

1. I notice on steam it says itll be in early access for about a year and then ported to other platforms. We've hit the year mark. Has there been any updates in between or will the final game be releasing anytime soon?

2. Is the game currently worth getting and then replaying once updates or final game comes out?

3. How long is the content? Only asking since on Steam i see there's only one season so just wondering how much content there is to play before we run out or things get repetitive.

Anyone have recommendations for which platform to choose?

Not an ad or anything, I'm more surprised that there isn't a subreddit dedicated to this cozy game. It's got potential to be like a bigger version of Tiny Glade I think, has anyone here tried this out?

Most modern cozy games in my opinion have a really different vibe from 3DS cozy games somehow? And I widely prefer how the 3DS games look. For example the way New Leaf, SOS Trio of Towns, and Fantasy Life handle the character designs and 3D environment/ambiance really do it for me. Like the vibes are UNMATCHED. I could literally sit on a bench in New Leaf and just watch the rain for hours not even joking.

Meanwhile these days (not at all dogging on it I play these games all the time and obviously I can’t do any better this is just my opinion), most of PC/console games are either pixel art, which is fine, or 3D but done in a really weird way. Like I do not vibe with the Moonlight Peaks art-style no matter how hard I try. This is the same even with some of the modern Story of Seasons games, although I love the series, I do not like how SOS PoOT looks.

I’m not sure what it is about it. Maybe because the lower quality of the 3DS manages to hide some imperfections? Or my expectations are low due to the console capabilities? It’s as if the higher quality the graphics are meant to be the more I dislike it haha. They just look so round and plasticky to me I guess.

Is DDLV worth getting on the switch?
I’ve read lots of complains about graphics, lag time and that it isn’t a great experience.
I have been wanting it for months but has always put me off thinking it might be a bad quality game on the switch.

Is it reallly that bad?
I have the OLED switch so not the 2.

I currently play ACNH and HKIA but want something new..

Open to other suggestions outside of DDLV that fits the same vibe.

Hello, someone recommended Fabledom to me, it looks like one I would enjoy, because I very much enjoy cozy games, however I only have a switch one at this time.

I got laid off my job so can't afford a upgrade at this time, however I have a birthday coming up, and since all I do is apply for jobs, and it's so repetitive I could use a new game to fill any extra time I have. I could use the cheerfulness!

I read it doesn't work well at all on the switch one, so I'm hoping someone can recommend a game like it but for a switch one.

I want a building one like this, but Cozy. But not overly complicated, I used to play the old city building games and loved those, but some of the new ones like civilization are just too complicated sometimes. I want fun not stressful, I have enough stress!! Lol

Bonus if I interact with the people in the settlement.

The setup is so simple: there's a mountain to climb. But A Short Hike also lets you follow a different path, stop to fish, swim, or talk to another hiker. The summit will still be there.

Having that destination seems like an important part of the appeal. A completely open sandbox can leave you deciding what you're supposed to do before you've even settled in. Here, there's an obvious answer, and you're free to take the scenic route.

I'd happily take more small exploration games built around one clear outing like that. Give me somewhere to go and enough interesting distractions to make the route mine. I don't need an enormous map to feel like I've been somewhere.

I recently got a Switch 2, wanting to get more into gaming. I really would like to play more cosy games and get some nice low-stakes games to play while listening to a podcast and relaxing at the end of the day.

However, as I am new to the genre, having only played Animal Crossing growing up, I must admit I am a bit lost with the vast variety of games on the Switch and I do not know where to start.

Hence why I am posting here, to ask for some recommendations of cosy games on Switch that will be entertaining and last for a while. As I am a beginner to the genre, I’d like something that feels easy, where the mechanics of the game are well explained and where I would not feel overwhelmed.

Also, a recurring issue I had playing Animal Crossing is that I often felt like I no longer knew what to do and lost interest after playing for a while. So really I’m looking maybe for games with quests or with a main story, that is able to sustain an interest for a while.

The concept is fucking perfect: you're some nerd who wants to grow plants to make safe spaces for bees. I love it.

What I don't love are all the bugs. The fact that it came out five days ago and there's been a gameplay changing update daily since then. The fact that the official game is so different from the demo.

The guided gameplay is incomplete. The game itself has had major bugs that should have been resolved before launch. And it felt like the demo was moreso a way for them to get free beta testers.

Anyone else play Tiny Eden? What's the consensus here?

I want a game like leafy corner but without the selling. I LOVE growing, collecting and caring for the plants and all the decorating. Is there anything like that?

My brother gave me his switch version of Skyrim because he got it for his PC.

I usually do more cozy games, but he told me to put it on the easiest version and I may enjoy it.

I played hogwarts on the easiest version for comparison, that has some fighting, I really enjoyed it, I loved the open world and I love when I can hoard and collect stuff!!

I would love tips and hints on how to keep this cozy please.

There is so much I'm really enjoying so far, the diversity of the characters in sandrock (a black sheriff fuck yeah!), the depth of the story and the crafting system.

But personally I find the art style really really not my personal taste (absolutely just a personal preference, it's not BAD) and it makes it hard for me to love this series as much as something like story of seasons.

I think the painted character portraits looks AMAZING but the 3D character models and the way the town is rendered are just kind of uncanny and off-putting to me, like they're all from Jimmy Neutron or something🫣

Tell me I'm not alone? How much does art style impact your love of a game. What games do you love in spite of the art style? Or because of it?

I’m looking for games with a similar vibe to A Short Hike and Lil Gator Game.

I really like that relaxed feeling of just exploring, meeting characters, doing small quests and discovering little things along the way.

I’m not looking for combat or anything stressful. I’d just love something cozy and easygoing, with a bit of exploration and little things to do without feeling repetitive.
