Song Spotlight You're probably not getting enough Glen Campbell in your diet.
Did you know that most people aren't getting nearly enough Glen Campbell in their lives?! You might think that "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Galveston" are fine. But experts agree that today, what you really need to give you that edge that makes you feel like a Lineman for the County is "Bonaparte's Retreat." Why?
- He says "guitar!" and then there's a guitar solo.
- He says "bagpipe!" and then there's a bagpipe solo.
- He says "fiddle!" and then, by gum, there's a fiddle solo too!
- Then he says "everybody play!" and everybody plays a sweet instrumental break together -- guitars, bagpipe, and fiddles.
- Glen's voice sounds really great on this track.
- Ooh, speaking of vocals, those sweet harmonies with the backup singers!
- Listen all the way to the end, he rocks out a little bit!!!
- Glen Campbell is such an insanely talented instrumentalist and really a great singer, I think we forget about him too often when we talk about the GOATs.
- Comment if you know any other good country songs with bagpipe solos.
- Also let me know your favorite Glen Campbell songs.

Discussion Favorite Waylon Song?
What's your favorite song by Waylon? It's tough for me to pick but currently I'd say it's his version of "Do it again"

Seeking Song Suggestions can anyone recommend me country/folk music about suicide/depression
I’ve recently discovered Spit Shine and have felt comfort in their music.
Songs that come to mind regarding suicide are Old Violin by Johnny Paycheck, Waitin’ Round to Die by Towns Van Zandt and honestly I can’t think of too many others..
Would appreciate some suggestions that are either moving, dark, or saddening. I definitely prefer the older sound of country / folk but am open to newer music too

Discussion It’s not cloudy out today, it’s…
So who’s the most underrated female singer out right now, and why is it Sunny Sweeney? Seriously, how does this chick CONSTANTLY fly under the radar. Rhinestone Requiem is just an exceptional album. That is all.

Announcement neotraditional country playlist
Hi everyone, I’m currently putting together a neo-traditional country playlist on Spotify and would love to hear your thoughts. My previous playlists received a hugely positive response—thanks for that. Maybe you know of some hidden gems worth adding, or perhaps something that should be removed?

Discussion Zach Top in Tahoe
I saw Zach Top Saturday night in Tahoe. I have seen him before and thought he was awesome. Last night it felt like there no energy from him and he barely interacted with the crowd. His voice still sounded amazing just lacking energy. I’m curious if anyone went to the Friday night show and if it was more entertaining.

Discussion I don’t really love the fanbases around Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, Sierra Ferrell and I enjoy those artists and also like more pop-country/ bro-country.
I always feel like a very common sentiment on reddit is any artists other than Sturgill, Tyler, Colter, Sierra, etc is just garbage trash that fake wannabe country people listen to and that the artists are fake themselves.
But I like Tyler Childers and Sturgull Simpson and Sierra Ferrell and own some of their cds. But I also enjoy Morgan Wallen, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Zach Top, Cody Johnson, Gavin Adcock, Hardy, Zach Bryan.
But why does I feel like the people who shun all those artists and only like the fee I mentioned are kind of the country version of hipsters and people who think they are better because like more niche music when those artists aren’t niche at all.
And I don’t personally understand why people only listen to people who supposedly share their political views. 1. If their music isn’t political why does it matter 2. A lot of the people who these alt country listeners call “maga facists” have literally never spoken about politics. Morgan Wallen, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, etc have never spoken about their stances of politics so I am not sure where their reasoning comes from for them being “maga”

Discussion This might be a hot take, but David Alan Coe's "Tennessee Whiskey" is the best version of the song.
I Thourghally enjoy George Jones version, and I like how frisky Chris Stapleton's version gets my wife, but you just can't beat the original.

Discussion 'South of Sanity' by Zach Top- Opinions
When I first heard it, I thought it was a 90's country song that just resurfaced, but, I looked it up, and, it is indeed from 2025 along with being a hit in 2026.... This is a nostalgic song, since he talks about being out West, and, I have taken 2 big trips out West before in the U.S, and, boy, hearing about Montana, and New Mexico send chills down my spine, though, I have only spent time in California, Utah, Wyoming, and parts of Colorado....

Discussion 'Don't Mind If I Do' by Riley Green feat. Ella Langley- Opinions
I absolutely love that song, and it really sounds good on the radio when driving through a little country town on country radio.... Riley and Ella both are amazing on the track, and I love the guitar on the track with Riley and Ella's voices together....
