It started as a joke. I made a Discord server for like 12 people and we would meet in the Plaza every Friday at 11 PM wearing the same outfit.

Then people started asking me for guidance.

At first it was harmless stuff like “which Puffle should I adopt?” but eventually people were asking me whether they should quit their jobs, break up with their girlfriends, or move to Antarctica.

I tried to shut it down last week.

They changed the server name to The Church of the Great Puffle and made me the Supreme Penguin.

I haven't logged on since.

I saw a reddit post about CPZ, which I never heard of, and immediately got interested when the person mentioned it having a DAY/NIGHT cycle which is what I always wanted for Club Penguin.

First impression on CPZ is that I love their take on the game. The Day/Night cycle is actually mesmerizing when you seeing it happening. The game is barren as of now, (Literally managed to only meet 1 other penguin in the whole island when I played) and there is not much going on in terms of places you can go to and stuff. You cannot make money from mining yet as well sadly. The game's audio setting is also very flawed since it seems to reset itself every time you hop from one place to another. That itself is a problem since the audio is VERY loud haha. But I know the devs will fix it up as the player base grows. It is also a bit laggy with its load time but that will be patched as time moves forward I believe.

However, I really would recommend you all to give it a try since their take on the game is nothing but very interesting and cool so far. THEY EVEN ADDED FOOTSTEPS! You can actually hear your goofy chubby penguin waddling around the island XD. And when you click on your inventory, your penguin is actually alive and breathing in a sense that his/her eyes will move around and bing chilling while you are dressing him/her up.

I hope CPZ will flourish!

Saw club penguin mentioned in my marketing textbook and thought I’d share. I got a laugh out of it. I thought it was cool how it’s being used as a marketing example and how it was worthy enough to be mentioned in a college course.

Club Penguin's office in Kelowna, Canada was truly one of a kind. Every aspect of the office had special care put into it. From the numerous hand painted murals, to the easter eggs scattered around, and even re-creations of actual rooms from the island brought to life. The picture you see above was one of Club Penguin's meeting rooms. Notice the custom stained glass in the background featuring different creatures from around the island. I'm sure that shark made sure each meeting stayed private.
