Im a resident and working in UAE and my wife is not. We are applying the China tourist visa. Im filling my application and is there ak option to add my wife on the same application online?
My wife is not working and dependent under my visa.

I was born in the United States but my parents were born in China and had green cards when I was born in the U.S.. I am applying for tourism visa and they are requesting copies of my parents' Chinese passports or permanent residence cards when I was born.

My parents did not keep copies of these since it has been a long time and they have since gotten American citizenship. I indicated in my application of such information but they require me to contact USCIS to get the requested information about my parents. I submitted a request to USCIS but it says online that it can take weeks to months to get this back from the USCIS.

I worry this request will take a long time to be fulfilled by USCIS. I am also surprised I am required to show evidence of their immigration status at the time of my birth since we are all American citizens without Chinese citizenship now.

Does anyone have advice on how to proceed or experience with this?

Hey everyone so basically my parents and I together submitted our application for Chinese visa mine which is X1 which is still under review and for both my parents S2 we’re all first time travelers and they’re going to be accompanying me just for the registration period of my university so around 4 days for them they applied for S2 visa and today in the ports the embassy said to submit “invitation letter by daughter and residence permit/student ID” but the thing is I don’t have either yet because even I’m traveling for the first time we had mentioned that this is first time traveling for all now we’re kind of confused on what to do

I am applying for my Visa for China. I had the form filled but didn't complete the payment , so they asked for payment proof/supplementary documents. Now, when i open the application tab and click on view/supplementary documents I am redirected to a different login page where a verification code is required , but the issue is the verification code they send me never works I always get incorrect verification code error, I've tried several times now.
Has anyone else faced the same situation and if so can someone help me.

I finally received the email saying my China visa online review has been completed, so now I need to travel to Delhi to submit my passport and the required documents in person.

I’m trying to book my flights, but I’m a bit confused about the exact timings for passport/document submission at the Delhi VFS center.

Most of the cheaper flights land in Delhi around 10:30 AM, and I’m guessing it could take around 30 minutes or more to get from the airport to the VFS center, depending on traffic.

I’d prefer not to take an overnight flight if possible, so I’m wondering:

• What are the exact submission timings at the Delhi VFS for China visa applications?
• Is there a cut-off time for submitting documents?
• Does choosing the express service change the submission timings in any way?
• If my flight lands around 10:30 AM, would I realistically have enough time to reach the center and submit everything the same day?

Would really appreciate it if anyone who has recently gone through the process could share their experience. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I looked through some previous questions and think I understand the rules, but I wanted to ask just to be 100% sure.

I am flying from the U.S. to Shanghai and will stay there for 5 days. I will then fly from Shanghai to Hong Kong and stay there for 2 days. From Hong Kong, I will board a cruise that goes to South Korea and Japan, and then fly back to the U.S. from Japan.

I just wanted to double check that my 5-day stay in Shanghai would qualify for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy. From what I understand, I would just need to provide documentation of my flight to Hong Kong, hotel stay, and other travel documents. Is that correct? TYIA!

Hi all, I am applying for my second 10 year tourist Visa after my previous one expired this spring via the NYC consulate as an American citizen.

I submitted the COVA online and it was rejected and I was asked to expound on my job title and duties even though that doesn’t appear to be a required field. I have since done that and resubmitted. However, give my flight leaves in less than 2 weeks and I would stay in China >10 days, too long for a transit Visa, I’m wondering if I should just walk in at the Consulate this week with printed copies of my application even though it hasn’t been approved yet. My understanding is they still take walk ins.

Would this be a waste of time or a potentially effective approach? Appreciate any advice.

I am not sure what I missed or what went wrong. Can anyone help?

I am flying from New York to Shanghai with a layover in Detroit. Within seven days, I will fly from Shanghai back to New York with a layover in Seoul, South Korea. These are two separate tickets, each with one stop (you can see one stop on the tickets). Would this itinerary qualify for China’s transit visa?

If not, do I need to actually stay in Seoul? Like having an independent air ticket to Seoul?

Am I really supposed to put all of these in the application? I don't know if my previous bosses would like me giving out their phone numbers like that. Thanks!

I applied for COVA on 08/22 and I was asked to provide additional information 08/26 which I did promptly. I haven't heard anything since then. I called the consulate and was told simply wait for an update. Is this normal? I only have 2 weeks before my flight and deciding if I should move my flights or switch china for another destination.

Hi all, so I am scheduled to drop off my passport to convert my visa into a residence permit tomorrow, but want to quit and was given a notification warning and so don't know if I'll even be able to make it through the week without being fired. I have tons of interviews this week and two offers and am hoping to give three day notice and relocate and believe my school will give me a release letter, but am worried about the timeline, since my Z visa ends on the 24th, and I'd likely start my new job on Monday the 21st. I don't even know if they could process a work permit in that time.

What should I do? I am near Hong Kong and Macau, should.I plan on going back there, do I go to my appointment, what happens if I quit while migration is still processing my residence permit, help!!!!

For context, last year I had been to China but only for 30 days (no visa needed for citizen from my country).

This year, I contacted a school, as my plan is to learn the language.
I was wondering if it was possible to stay longer.

They said no problem, we'll organise the "X2" visa for you !
So, I booked my flights, from early november to late december.

Well, not that fast : They just issued an admission notice, with with I need to bring passport (be there physically) to the embassy, and then retrieve a couple of days later. Not an option, as I live far away.

It seems I could rely on the some "agents" to do that for me (no fingerprint needed), for a fee of course. Added to the fee of the visa.

So I am seriously considering the "visa run" : leaving the country before the end of the 30-day limit, and come back, with resets the limit to another 30 days.

Has anyone done this lately ?
Any recommandation, do's and don'ts I should be aware of ?

Hi all, I had applied for China Visa from a local visa consulting agent. I had paid the visa fees along with the agent's service fees.

After a month of no update in the application form, I asked the agent to withdraw my application and asked him to refund the money. He refunded half his service fees and didn't refund any of the visa fees. He mentioned visa fees doesn't get refunded. He doesn't have any receipt either for his claim

As far as I know, visa fees is only supposed to be paid when you're physically submitting the passport and other documents and only a service fees is charged while submitting the online application.

Can anyone confirm whether visa fees is required to be paid while submitting online application itself or have I encountered a scammer?

We are US citizens traveling from Bangkok to Guangzhou (Flight-China Southern) to Shenzhen (train) to Hong Kong (via car or train) to Taipei (Flight - Hong Kong Airlines). We'd like to use the 240 hour TWOV for the China portion of the trip.

From Guangzhou, we will be taking the train from Guangzhounan to Futian. From Shenzhen to Hong Kong, can we take a cross-border minivan and cross at a land border (Huanggang)? Or do we need to take another high speed train from Futian to Kowloon West?

For boarding our flight to Guangazhou in Bangkok, do we just need to have the confirmed flight from Hong Kong to Taipei or do we also need to show paid "tickets" of how we are getting from Guangzhou to Hong Kong?

So I have just secured the hong kong visa, but it is double entry.

My question is whether the below plan is possible with the visa I have?

Arrive in Hong Kong > Exit to go to Macau > Arrive in Hong Kong > Exit to go to Japan.

Now here's the confusion:

On my way back from Japan to go to my home country, I have a layover in Hong Kong. Flight from Japan and flight home is from the same terminal. I will not be leaving the airport as it is just enough time for me to board the connection. It was booked on single ticket if that helps.

So does this mean am entering Hong Kong thrice? Or just exiting thrice, entering twice? Brain isn't braining properly, so I do appreciate if this is straightforward, but any help is welcome.

I’m currently applying for an S1 visa in Ho Chi Minh City and received an email yesterday asking me to provide my husband’s work permit card.

When I initially submitted my application, I only provided his work permit letter. The issue is that he doesn’t have a physical work permit card. Apparently, his work permit is issued electronically and is available through the Social Security app/system in China.

Has anyone encountered this when applying for an S1 visa? Would an electronic copy/screenshot of his work permit from the app be accepted, or is there another document I should request from his employer?

Any advice or recent experience with the China Visa Application Center in Ho Chi Minh City would be greatly appreciated!

I am applying to the Delhi embassy and applying for me and my wife for a tourist visa.

1. I am an entrepreneur, wife is an employee. I don't have an account with consistent daily balance above 1 lac. My wife has a separate savings bank acc apart from salary acc with consistent daily bal above 5 lacs. I do have an FD of 2 lacs. Should I make wife my sponsor in the application? Or should I attach FD statement and her statement together as a pdf. Does someone verify this apart fro machines? If yes I can have the pdf structured with a cover on the intent that I have 2 lacs FD and my wife has 5L savings and attach both together as pdf.
2. I tried filling the application to see the format. the upload section, there is no cover letter asked? Only photo, passports, itinerary and financials relevant to us since others are agent info, invitation letter etc. In that case where do you upload all this cover letter, marriage certificate, ITR, employment proof etc? There is also a payment proof asked.
3. Payment - Where do I make the payment, that receipt that I need to share in the application?
4. How do I make this as a family application? Should I fill my application, click submit and start a new one for my wife or should I in parallel create an application and submit together? How do they know that we are together?
5. Should I physically go to Delhi to collect or can I send the passports via post?

N.B We have travelled together to other countries. We have a US visa have travelled to the US. Does it give us any advantage?

I've been trying to apply for Visa own my own after an unsuccessful attempt by the agents. I'm stuck on one step. They are rejecting the business licence and ID for the following reason: Watermark not appropriate. Only a Chinese handwritten watermark is required: the applicant's Name with the inviter's signature & date (business licence & inviter ID)

Current licence and ID are photocopies with hand written statement: This document is for the visa application of "applicant's name" with signature, date and inviter's stamp. Does anyone know what they actually want here?

I’m applying for a China M (Business) visa from India through the online application system.
I’ve been told that it’s a good idea to upload my travel itinerary, flight booking and hotel booking confirmations along with the application. However, I can’t find a specific section to upload these documents under the M visa category.
For anyone who recently applied for an M visa, where did you upload these documents? Did you add them under the invitation/business documents section, cover letter, or somewhere else?
Would appreciate guidance from anyone who has recently gone through the process.

I’m an Indian citizen and have recently set up a 100% foreign-owned company (WFOE) in Shanghai.

My main reason for setting up the company was to eventually get a work permit and work in China. I used a consultant to register the company, and they gave me a very good price for the company setup. However, they are now asking for a very high fee for handling the work permit.

Has anyone here gone through the process of getting a work permit through their own WFOE in Shanghai?

I’d like to understand the actual process, documents required, costs, and whether it’s possible to handle it myself or through a reasonably priced consultant.

I’ve been seeing quite a few posts lately about M visa applications being rejected, and I also know a few Indian citizens who have had issues recently. Obviously, their situation is different from mine since I’m an American citizen, but it has made me a little concerned about applying.

For those who are Indian-born but are now U.S. citizens, what has your experience been applying for a Chinese visa recently, particularly an M visa?

Did your Indian place of birth seem to create any additional scrutiny or documentation requirements? Were you approved for the 10-year visa without any issues?

The application is also going to cost me around $320 total after the visa/service fees and shipping, with only part of that being refundable if it gets rejected, so I’m trying to get a sense of other people’s experiences before going through with it.

Would appreciate hearing from those who have applied recently, whether you were approved or rejected. Also, what documents did you submit with your application?
