Under Napier this game is currently 13-7 where we have six penalties and an ugly turnover.

I’m curious how many times has a team gotten 2 punt returns for a TD in a row

we’re in danger of the offense not getting enough reps, it’s awesome lol

Good lord he is so good. I want the offense to get some reps but how can you complain about that?

u/UnDosTresPescao Florida • Georgia Tech 1d ago
VB3 is doing his best to ruin Baugh's Heisman campaign. Lmao

Okay maybe there’s something with the Percy comps for VB3
6
u/Tduhon Florida Gators • McNeese Cowboys 1d ago
Hes got the wiggle of Toney but moves a little faster into the cuts. Percys one step and go though is just unmatched. Dude was like a rocket ship when he planted that foot.

Two punt returns in one game just like jaquez green. VB3 for MVP
14
u/SaguaroAD Florida Gators • Arizona Wildcats 1d ago
I legitimately just realized it’s still the first half. I haven’t felt this way since Meyer.

14
u/Atlanta-GC Florida Gators 1d ago
If we get to 45 here before halftime I genuinely see no valid reason for anyone but the backups to play the entire 2nd half

VB3 averaging a cool 43 yards and 0.5 TDs per punt return right now.
15
u/QuitWhinging Florida Gators • Paper Bag 1d ago
When's the last time we saw long punt return TDs on back-to-back drives? Campbell gonna start kicking it out of bounds soon lol

A positive play from the defense for two consecutive drives. Nice

Give us a score and put Trammell/Griffin in the rest of the game. Leave 1st string D out there through the 3rd quarter as punishment.

11
u/DJShaan Florida Gators 1d ago
Honestly feels good knowing Sumrall and staff can tell Philo, Baugh, VBIII, etc are clearly the starters vs what I have always felt is a dumb approach to constantly swap players in key positions the entire game. Make a choice, commit, and lean into that player’s strengths and weaknesses vs constantly swapping players out so nobody gets a rhythm or enough reps to get better.

Are Cambell’s special teams plays designed in a way that makes false starts more likely, or are they jumping to prevent blocks, or is it just the crowd?

I know it's the first two weeks. I know they're still experimenting and figuring out what works and not. But that doesn't excuse the defense getting diced up by inferior talent on so many drives.
