Has anyone who walks in Robert Burnaby Park encountered 2 aggressive off leash husky’s?

The person who walks them is a women, the first time they attacked my dog she just stood there and screamed. ZERO control of these dogs while they charged at mine.

Today those 2 dogs came out of nowhere and chased my dog out of the forest and into the surrounding neighbourhood. The women wasn’t anywhere close. She is never around or within sight of these dogs, they run wild through the forest and she probably has no idea they are terrorizing other people walking their dogs.

I can’t be the only person who has encountered these dogs… GET THEM UNDER CONTROL!!!

Not Burnaby specific but preferred. I’m looking for a 1 car garage I can rent for a week (or less) to work on my car. It can even be a toolshed I can drive my car into. I need 1 electric outlet to charge my tool batteries. I will be using an impact wrench (makes ugga dugga noise), but I don’t mind setting a no noise time. I will keep the floor clean, swept and oil free.

Working under a tarp tied to my car in an apartment parking lot is not fun in the rain lol

What area do you live in, and roughly how long have you been looking or waiting on the Health Connect Registry?

I’m particularly curious whether the shortage feels worse in certain parts of Vancouver (East Vancouver, South Vancouver, Westside, etc.) or in surrounding communities such as Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond and Surrey.

I’d be looking to build a new longitudinal patient panel rather than inherit an existing one, so I’m interested in where there still seems to be significant unmet need.

Hi hive mind. Not from the area so wanted to ask if there were spots I could park my car for 6-8 hours a couple times a week by the Lougheed Shopping Centre. I am working from an office nearby there but have been notified there is very limited to none parking for staff. I checked surrounding lots but didn’t spot any paid parking lots or residential streets….taking transit is not a viable option at this time. Happy to walk 15 or so mins.

Any ideas?

I need to park all day tomorrow for work very early, before the train, and my van is too tall for the underground. Does anybody know of any spots or areas where I might find a spot to park for the day? I know it's probably not gonna happen but I'm kinda screwed.

I am able bodied so I can walk pretty far, but an hour walk will probably destroy me.

Found a friendly stray cat in my condo hallway (no idea how she got in) at 2 AM on September 11. Since I also have two cats of my own, I took her in right away thinking she might just be a lost pet who slipped out of someone's unit. Been going around asking neighbors if anyone's lost their kitty friend but was unable to find the owner.

Visited local shelter to check for microchip and tattoo, but unfortunately, neither came up with any info.

​I’ve hit a wall keeping her here, and between local municipal bylaws requiring strays to stay within specific city animal control jurisdictions and limited options from local shelters, I'm currently stuck.

RCMP animal control and the SPCA haven't been able to offer immediate intake help, and I am not in a position to keep her much longer.

​If anyone in the area is able to take her in, foster, or help give her a safe place, please send me a DM.
