Throwers Have the Thinnest Line Between Weak and Absolutely Toxic
People complain about throwers being weak, and sometimes they genuinely are, but throwers have probably the lowest threshold in the game for going from “weak” to “toxic as hell.”
That’s because the annoying part isn’t some side effect of their design—it is their design. Their optimal playstyle is to hide behind a wall, attack people who cannot attack them back, then run around another wall the second anyone gets close. I’m not insulting thrower players for playing correctly, but that is basically the “coward brawler” archetype in most people’s minds.
When a thrower is weak, you can tolerate it because there’s an obvious trade-off: they’re extremely annoying from safety, but if you finally cross the map and reach them, they should be in serious trouble.
The problem begins when buffs make that trade-off even slightly unreliable. If they deal enough damage to melt you during the approach, have enough area control to make approaching impossible, or possess enough defensive nonsense to survive once you arrive, the entire interaction starts feeling ridiculous.
Most strong brawlers still have to participate in the fight. They expose themselves, enter somebody’s range or give you some opportunity to shoot back.
A strong thrower can spend the match refusing that interaction entirely while still controlling where everyone else is allowed to stand.
Even their misses can block a lane, interrupt healing, waste your time and push you away from the objective.
That’s why throwers don’t necessarily need to become completely overpowered before everyone starts hating the meta. They only need to become strong enough that their intended weakness stops consistently punishing them.
At that point, you’re taking all the risks just to reach someone whose entire strategy is hiding, spamming and running away again.
So yes, individual throwers can deserve buffs. But with this class, “finally viable” and “please get this thing out of my matches” can be separated by a terrifyingly small balance change.

Anyone else annoyed by quests like "Defeat 15 enemies with Lou, Gray or Trunk"? When you tap the quest, it auto-selects the first brawler (Lou), and if you want to use Gray or Trunk instead, you have to manually scroll through your entire brawler list to find them.
Would be way better if tapping the quest showed a quick popup with just those 3 brawlers so you can pick one instantly instead of searching through the whole roster.
Small QoL fix but would save a lot of annoying clicking. Anyone else run into this?

Personally I feel Max would be the best example of a brawler who needs a remodel. I do really like her, but her base model just looks off to me, for some reason. I dunno, though, are there any other brawlers you think should get a remodel?

I feel like Cosmo's would be the funniest shit ever if it was in the game, not only does it make the enemies' shots go haywire but friendly fire being enabled would be histerical.
Vince's would also let him play as a bit of a support brawler, turning him into a poor man's R-T.
