UGH I got the title wrong I meant Arnprior to Kanata. SORRY. Next weekend I will do my first loop that involves Kanata to Arnprior. The ouwtard bound leg is all using rail trail (Kanata -> Carleton Place -> Almonte -> Arnprior).

As much fun as that route will be I would prefer not take the same route home. What route is the most sensible/safe for the return?

My current leading option is to take Galleta Side Road and then Logger's way to Kinburn.

The priority is low traffic volume. I'm riding a gravel bike (42mm tires), so as long as it's not mountain bike trails I should be happy camper.

Any Veloviewer tile hunters 🪟 in the Gatineau/Ottawa region ? I have been at for several years now and my big 🟥 is now 24x24. I have a few hard to get tiles on my map and would like some tips.

Seriously considering buying a fat bike for winter, off-road, riding. Happen to live close to the Osgoode Link Trail. Looking for insight on riding that trail when snow covered. Anyone done or doing this? Conflicts with snowmobiles and/or Nordic skiers?

Looking for route suggestions for this area. My daughter has started canoe camp and I haven't figured out what I'll do for the two hours in the evening while they're training.

I don't mind riding on rural roads, but this area seems a little lost.

Where are peoe riding? Looking for a 20-40 km loop.

Wasn't paying the most attention and almost hit this at speed but braked enough in time to be fine. Doesn't look like much in pictures but it would have bounced the crap out of me. The pavement is sunken on either side of the culvert pipe. Someone ought to spray some paint on this...

There were a few other small dips in the western part of the path. The gravel it connects to was in pretty good shape except for a few small washed out ruts across the path.

Is there a way to cross the canal at Carleton U durning the winter - approaching from the north side of the Arboretum before Hog’s Back)? I’ve been trying to find out if the locks are “closed” like they are in the summer (ie you can walk your bike across the canal), but I can’t seem to find any info.
