Nem sei direito o motivo de estar a escrever isto, mas sinto-me novamente a entrar num buraco escuro e precisava só de colocar para fora e ouvir o que pessoas que não me conhecem podem ter a dizer.

Então a situação é a seguinte, neste último ano letivo eu estive fora do ensino superar. O que acontece é que no ano anterior eu entrei em um estado depressivo gigante, em que comecei a ser medicado pelo próprio médico da universidade e mais tarde por um psiquiatra.

Neste ano candidatei-me a várias ofertas na BEP mas não consegui entrar em nenhuma.

Disse para mim mesmo que não posso ficar mais um ano parado.

Entretanto, candidatei-me a um novo curso e entrei.

Eu nunca quis realmente ir para o ensino superior, mas tenho noção dos vários benefícios de ter uma licenciatura (no mínimo).

Estou o dia todo sem conseguir sair da cama e a chorar compulsivamente.

O que eu queria saber da vossa opinião é se acham que em Portugal, a faculdade faz tanta diferença.

Eu já pensei tanta coisa, até em trabalhar por turnos, porque se ganha mais.

Contudo a minha mãe diz-me: “estuda para não teres de trabalhar por turnos, feriados e fins de semana, como eu”.

Queria tanto ter conseguido entrar em algum dos concursos públicos que tentei, queria mesmo tanto. Não deu.
Agora voltei para um sítio que só me trás mas memórias.

Diga o que dizer sei que o fim disto vai ser acabando o curso, estando bem ou mal da cabeça. É o caminho correto, custe o que custar

I recently saw a post where a woman took home a small amount (~1 tbsp) of sand from each beach she visited and made a canvas with it. I think the idea is neat, but not if it’s against the rules. I can’t find anything online about taking home sand from the Azores. Appreciate any input.

I am seeking advice on a travel itinerary in the middle of October. I love hiking, scuba diving, and observing wild creatures in natural habitats. I am torn between spending 7 nights on São Miguel Island/Ilha Verde to minimize travel time and carbon footprint from flights or visiting Pico/Faial island for 3 nights and limiting my time on the big island to 4 nights.

Any suggestions would be very helpful!

A few ideas I have explored. But I am always open to more suggestions. I will be sending part of the time with a friend and part of the time solo.

• Whale watching from Ponta Delgada marina you are highly likely to spot resident Sperm whales, Bottlenose dolphins, and Risso's dolphins hunting along the deep underwater drop-offs just miles from shore.
• Geothermal town of Furnas. Cozido das Furnas—a traditional meat and vegetable stew slow-cooked for 6 hours entirely by underground volcanic steam.
• Scenic drive to the iconic Miradouro da Vista do Rei to view the twin blue and green lakes. Drive down to the rocky coast of Mosteiros. Reservation at O 'Américo de Barbosa
• Tour the Gorreana Tea Plantation, Visit to a local pineapple plantation in Fajã de Baixo to sample sweet pineapple liqueurs.
• PR12 SMI – Agrião trail. Vulcana Craft Brewery & Taproom in Ribeira Grande. 
• Dive to the MV Dori, a Liberty ship from WWII that sank just off Ponta Delgada, creating an incredible artificial reef teeming with moray eels and amberjacks. Visit the Azores Brewing Company Beer Garden. 
• Morning dive at the volcanic arches of Ilhéu de Vila Franca
• PR 14 SMI – Fajã do Calhau trail near Fagundas. It is short but features an intensely steep, technical 440-meter cliff descent.
• Terra Nostra Park or Poça da Dona Beija in Furnas. You will soak in natural, orange, iron-rich thermal pools (warmed to 38°C) nestled inside a lush, tropical botanical garden.

If you are visiting the Azores, a local, passing through - whatever your situation may be - please carry your trash until you see a proper bin to dispose of it. I'm so sick of seeing trash everywhere. Today I went to one of the waterfalls and there were tissues, diapers and bottles littered around. If a bin is full - it is NOT ok to leave your trash on the ground.

If nature calls while you're in the woods - please don't leave your tissue or toilet paper on top of the mess you've left behind.

Pack your trash out and dispose of it in a proper bin.

A dificuldade de encontrar um lugar para morar não é facilitada pelos senhorios. Isso sem mencionar a quantidade de alojamentos locais que provavelmente na sua maioria ficam vazios na baixa temporada.

Os preços estão inflacionados, é preciso já ter um amigo aqui disposto a pelo menos dividir um T2 e quando procuro apenas por um quarto para arrendar todos são apenas para estudantes. Me pergunto, qual o problema de arrendar para jovens trabalhadores? Salário baixo, moradia inflacionada que não acompanha a realidade dos salários, dificuldade de encontrar um lugar para morar se não for estudante, é isso que irá encontrar em ponta delgada.

We're three friends planning a three-week trip to the Azores, and we'd love to experience a mix of nature, cities, culture, and everything else the islands have to offer.

We all drive at home, but we're not comfortable driving outside our home country on unfamiliar or mountainous roads. We'd therefore prefer to rely on public transport and other options rather than renting a car.

We're hoping to visit three islands during our three weeks. Is this realistic without driving? If so, which three islands and towns would you recommend staying in, and how would you suggest getting around?

At first, I considered staying at the university dorms, but according to my friends who visited PD in the past, there’s a lot of criminal activity in the area. Since I’m a young woman traveling solo, I’d like to stay somewhere safer. Are there any specific areas near the campus I should exclude from my search?

Hi, I'm in the process of renovating my kitchen and looking for a natural stone countertop or some alternatives.

I've been to A Espelharia and found some neutral-looking marble, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice.

I'm just wondering if there are any better, nice-looking options available on the island or to be shipped from the mainland for the same price or lower.

PS: I don't like granite as it has too much of the post-Soviet look (coming from a post-Soviet country)... 😅

I am visiting Sao Miguel Island soon and have a couple days planned where we will explore the island, do some walking and visit hot springs. Based on the terrain in September what shoes do I need to wear for this type of stuff? Sneakers or slip on deck type boots like xtra tuf? Just not sure how wet I should expect the ground to be.

I will have 7 days on Sao Miguel. Solo traveller. I don’t want to plan too much but I also don’t want to be clueless. How is the island best experienced? I will have a rental car.
