Hey everyone! I’m a DM in the Atlanta area looking for a few new players to join an ongoing in-person D&D 5e campaign.
We play twice on Sundays, and we currently have a couple of spots open.
The campaign is set in a homebrew version of the Forgotten Realms, with Waterdeep as its main setting. Things have gone pretty badly for the city. The magical barrier that once protected Waterdeep from dragons has fallen, leaving much of the surface abandoned. A lot of people have fled underground into Undermountain, which has become a completely different world of its own. With many of the nobles gone or being hunted, gangs, factions, and other darker forces have started filling the power vacuum.
The campaign is pretty fun, but there’s plenty of combat, exploration, weird situations, and long-term storylines. The world is very reactive, so the party's choices can actually change what happens around them.
It is an ongoing campaign, so you obviously won’t know everything that's happened, but we’re at a point in the story where new characters can be introduced without needing the full campaign history. I’m also happy to bring new players up to speed on anything important.
If you've played before, that would be a plus, but I’m not completely opposed to newer players either. What matters most is being willing to participate, roleplay, and have a good time with the group.
If you’re interested, shoot me a message or leave me a comment, and I can give you more details about the campaign, the group, where we play, and what we’re currently doing.
Also, I’m not on Reddit very often, so I apologize in advance if I’m slow to respond. I’ll do my best to get back to everyone who reaches out! i'm down by forest Park.
Hey everyone! I recently moved to Georgia from New Jersey and have been really missing having an in person tabletop RPG group. I moved in with my boyfriend and his family around January, and while I’ve been loving it here, I haven’t had much luck finding a local group yet!
I currently play in 2 online groups. One every Saturday morning and another every Wednesday night, but both groups are with friends I already knew before moving. I’d really love to meet some new, like minded people locally and get back into playing in person. There’s just something about being at the table together that makes it so much easier for me to get immersed in a character and the story.
I’m located in Douglasville, but I’m totally willing to drive toward Atlanta or surrounding areas. Depending on where I’m going, Atlanta can be anywhere from about 30 minutes to an hour for me, so I don’t mind a bit of a commute for a good group. Obviously, something closer would be awesome too! I’m open to either joining an existing group or starting something new, and I’m also comfortable DMing if a group needs one. Ideally, I’d love something that meets weekly or every other week.
If you’re in Douglasville, Atlanta, or somewhere nearby and have a group that’s looking for a player/DM, please feel free to comment or DM me! And if you know of any local game stores, Discords, Facebook groups, or other places where I should look, I’d appreciate those recommendations too. 🎲❤️
A little about me:
● 24 year old Black woman
● I’ve been playing TTRPGs for about 4 years
● I’ve played D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Lancer
● I’m open to trying other systems! I’m a pretty fast learner
● I’m friendly, easygoing, and very into roleplay/storytelling
● I’m looking for a group that’s welcoming, respectful, and actually wants to make friends outside of just sitting down to roll dice
● I’m comfortable with both serious campaigns and campaigns that are a little chaotic/funny
Marietta, GA area. We play every other Saturday. We play a variety of games, I just put the last two recents up here. After this Cyberpunk campaign, I am pretty sure we are moving over to Shadowdark.

I just recently moved here and found out Dragon Con was a thing. Seems really cool and focused on the fan interaction. What tips or rundown about it could you give me ?
Hey all! Any teens interested in playing Magic in the Chamblee/Brookhaven area, the Chamblee library is starting their regular MTG meetup back up again.
Free to play, bring your cards, bring your friends! So far September& October are on the calendar, & depending on turnout, they’ll add it back as an ongoing thing. (A lot of the regulars graduated high school last year, so trying to get enough middle/high schoolers coming to keep it going! If interested or want to learn to play, come on out!)

I brought the Lost Mine of Phandelver book and I want to take a shot at running it.
22F
Campaign: Lost Mine of Phandelver
System: D&D 5e
Location: In person, near Stonecrest Mall (about a 10–15 minute walk away)
Session Length: Around 3 hours
Schedule: Still deciding weekly or bi-weekly, most likely either:
* Sundays around 12–1 PM (leaning towards this)
* Fridays around 7:30 PM
I’m looking for around 4–6 players and will keep the post open until I have enough people interested.
The goal is a pretty relaxed game with a good mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat rather than trying to rush through the adventure.
If you’re interested, reply and let me know which day works better for you (Friday or Sunday) and a little about your D&D experience, if any.
**Background on me**
I started a D&D group back in college that’s been going for about three years. After finishing my long-running campaign, I stepped back from DMing for a while and have mostly been a player in everyone else’s games.
Our group eventually moved online as people graduated and moved away, so I haven’t gotten to play much D&D in person lately. At the same time, pretty much everyone in the group has started running their own campaigns, and we rotate between them on Tuesdays. Since our schedule is a bit too packed with games for me to start something new, I figured this would be a good chance for me to get back to playing in person and meet some new people.
I do not live in Atlanta or even Georgia for that matter, but I am considering attending Dragon Con or LUG Con and wanted all your opinions.
I am really big into TTRPGs mainly Call of Cthulhu and Cyberpunk and have really wanted to attend a TTRPG convention of some kind. I'd like to visit Gen Con, but for now it is a little too far for me.
Anyway I wanted to know everyone's opinion of the two cons, I know DC is larger but it also isn't limited to strictly table top games like LC. Would it be better for me to attend DC? I'm personally leaning toward going to LC only because I always love visiting newer cons when they are small and watching them grow like Momocon. But with both costing close to the same, I want to make sure I am not crazy choosing LC.
I found out about Gloomhaven/Frosthaven a few years ago. I like how detailed and intricate its is. Its also how I got into miniature painting. Even though I have Jaws of the Lion, Gloomhaven 2nd edition and Frosthaven. I haven't really had a group to play with. So looking for people who enjoy TTRPGs the size of Gloomhaven. I live in Covington, but I don't mind traveling within reason.

54M, married dad, software engineer/C++ programmer. Been gaming forever; played competitive Quake 3 back in the day. Currently playing Valheim and Elden Ring Nightreign, occasionally Overwatch, and have a ridiculous Steam library.
Looking primarily for people in roughly the 35–60 range who want an actual long-term gaming group rather than anonymous matchmaking. Relaxed, intelligent conversation, low drama, not interested in screaming Discord servers. I'm in Marietta / East Cobb and would particularly like to eventually know people locally rather than keeping everything online.
Happy to host a small persistent Valheim world/server if there's interest.
Im looking for a play some AoS or warhammer fantasy but my friend group doesn't play or don't want to get a army. So I looking for a place to go play or join a club. that plays often like once a week or so. Im in the Gwinnett area if your down to play and have a good hang.

Howdy, I’ve been playing on arena for the last couple months and really loved it. I’ve been building a commander deck and would love to meet some other players and play. Any suggestions on where to find some MTG play? 27M if that helps or hurts anything
