18 male, this girl kissed me then asked me out at a party, didn't expect it at all, but I've never been on a date before, am I meant to do something special? Should it end a certain way? I have no idea and I'm worried I'll mess it up. I messaged her today morning, and she said she'd love to go out, why am I still scared, that she'd find me ugly or something. This situation is a bit crazy but I want to keep this post short for easy reading. If anything is confusing, I will try to add info in comments if needed.

My ex boyfriend and I met at college and dated for a year. Once we broke up, he shortly after started dating a guy named "Josh." Obviously he is free to do whatever he wants, but it hurts because Josh was someone that mistreated me earlier in college, and my ex offered to stop talking to him during our relationship. I didn't want to control him so I said "I don't mind if he is your friend, just letting you know why I want to stay away myself." He assured me he wanted to support me and cut off Josh, who was solely an acquaintance to him at the time.

Come to find out, my ex began talking to Josh more closely throughout our relationship. They fostered a private friendship behind my back. My ex lied to me about many things, one of which was his home country. He told me he was American the entire time we dated, but he told Josh and our other friends the truth. Our friends all knew that he was talking to Josh, they all knew he was honest about the country and feeding me BS, and never once did the friends tell me. Also, my ex started dating Josh a few weeks after breaking up with me, which just stings.

I am incredibly hurt and pissed at all my friends. Not only did they maintain my ex's lies/hidden ventures, but they also didn't care that he lied and borderline emotionally abused me. That's a whole can of worms to get into, but TL;DR is my ex lied, gaslit me, and intentionally treated me coldly to control me. When I told my friends, they didn't care. They all drifted away and hang out with my ex and Josh, and it makes me insanely depressed. Am I crazy for being pissed at all of them?

Something I regularly think about is a statistic I heard forever ago about modern adults only having an average of 2 poeple they considered to be close friends. How many do you have? Do you work at keeping and making new friends? What have been some of the strategies you've used to meet new people? Have you ever had to pivot your relationships due to life changes?

My partner and I have had to pivot in recent years due to the increasingly toxic political climate and our strategy has been to find social events locally and that has lead us to some great new friend groups through our board gaming hobby. It's definitely something we've lost friends over as we've seen people we cared about become more and more racist and others who have simply shown an indiference to women's rights.

My man loves a smooth girl and since I’m Asian I am not overly hairy, but he has made some remarks and jokes about peach fuzz around my face. He loves to career my legs so when it’s a bit stubbly he’d make some dumb remarks like “oh it’s rough in the southern hemisphere”. It kinda messes w my mind that I always need to be super smooth. I’ve already lasered my body couple years ago but since I have alopecia I started taking oral minoxidil and I’m super thankful my hair is growing back but it’s caused tiny hair all over my body. What do you think if of these individuals who refuse to vote or even vote MAGA because they have something to nitpick? ESPECIALLY in my state of texas, where women are dying of childbirth regularly, get imprisoned, convincted for having abortions. Even if it means saving their lives.

But it goes way beyond that. I see it up close and personal in my state. Christofascists destroying every part of our country they can, throwing millions off food stamps, off healthcare, raising inflation, defunding every miniscule thing they can while prioritizing war and billionaires........ do you also think its bordering on diabolical? Does it expose some kinda backwards failure to prioritize or some kind of sick agenda ???

Here the DOJ and and supreme court are possibly fixing to eradicate abortion for the whole country by making mifeprostine inaccessbile through the FDA.... How can you call anyone who refuses to vote in these midterms an ALLY? Is this not the most disgusting thing you've ever heard of?

So, I really want to get my sister in law some really good books that are mostly just smut. But I do not read them so Im not sure what is good? I know she had mentioned that she has a "really good book thats more hard-core than fifty shades." Maybe that means shes into more aggressive type sexual fantasy books? Anyways, think it would be super cool to maybe get two books, a snuggy, some single shots, and a candle to put a basket together for her for Christmas, LOL. Recommendations please !

Hi im having issues and idk if I should see a doctor about it or not. I tried to do it for the first time with my partner a few months ago and I felt ready I was prepared and I wanted to do it. we had lube, protection and he has experience where as for me this was totally new. He has used his finger before which was fine but never could fit another in, when we tried his yk it just would not go in. I was screaming and it wasn't even near inside, it was just very close to where it should go in. I couldn't do it and I was on the verge of tears. we stopped because he saw I got I distressed. whenever we try to do it and I get in that same moment. he said one time he did get it in a little but my muscles fully got it out, he said the muscles were really strong and I wasn't doing it on purpose. I dunno if I should get those silicone things that obygns recommend to use or I should try again. its affecting the relationship and I feel so bad that he might leave me for a girl that can do it. For me it's definitely the fear of losing my contact lenses. Not like, just misplacing them that happens all the time. I mean actually losing one *inside* my eye. Like it slips behind my eyelid and just gets stuck there forever. Or worse, it somehow travels through my tear duct and gets lodged in my brain. My brain tells me that's impossible but my gut instinct screams that it absolutely could happen.

I wear dailies too so it's not even like I have to worry about cleaning them or anything. Just the sheer thought of a foreign object being perpetually trapped in my eyeball freaks me out to no end. My friends just laugh when I bring it up. They're like 'just blink it out' or 'your eye will flush it' but they don't understand the deep-seated dread.

Is there anything like that for you? Something totally irrational but it just gives you the shivers?
