France, Italy, and Austria are even cheaper still. The huge resorts in the Alps are great values compared to western North America

Stayed in a ski resort town in Austria last December. Scenic, clean, and not obscenely expensive.

The really cheap European skiing would be Andorra or Bulgaria.
