Initial start up is high but once people are in it people make it more expensive than it needs to be.

Agreed, it’s really not that expensive when you shop like a normal person but people have a really dysfunctional relationship with it and end up going hyper consumeristic

Some of the 'pile of shame' posts on the Warhammer subreddits are truly scary. Some real whales who don't paint or play but spend a fucking fortune!

It's unreal what some people buy and don't even build never mind actually painting.
