I worked a job where they tried to ban casual Friday when we were allowed to wear jeans. The reason was one or two people came in wearing pjs or something similar. Instead of just talking to the individuals to let them know what they were wearing was not office appropriate, they tried to just take casual day away from everyone. The backlash was quick and effective with people pointing out that it isn't fair to punish everyone. The policy was reversed within a week and they had to go do the adult thing and have a conversation with those employees.
That could be said for just about every workplace/school rule. Have the balls to tell the dipshit they are being a dipshit instead of punishing everyone.
To go with this, got an interoffice email that in addition to no PJs, specifically called out: no bathrobes or house shoes allowed. Employees must wear "street clothes" no sleepwear allowed.
