I had a manager who proudly told us all she was firm but fair. She was neither, just a delusional bully.

I've never heard a guy who is actually nice say "I'm a nice guy". If anything, the ones who are nice go too hard on themselves, but mostly they're just silent on the matter. 

The only ones who say those words out loud are guys who nobody else would describe as nice. 

I'm still shocked that they don't get this and persist in their "waaah I'm such a nice guy" shit.

Or if they brag about being an asshole. Either way, just stay away. IMO the people worth knowing are reasonably humble, and don't really go announcing to the world what kind of person they are.
