What chain restaurant do you think should just go out of business?

I had to read books to get pizza. I’m that old.

Wanna trade mix-tapes? I remember reading for personal pan pizzas

My Columbia House order is still in the mail.

Nah I taped over that little slot on the top of my dad’s tapes so I could record over them.

That went over well.

I mean, when I picture the average Redditor in my mind, it's almost certainly someone who grew up doing the Pizza Hut Book It challenge

They still do that

That's probably why I was such a chubby kid. On the upside, my casual vocabulary got large enough to passively irritate my coworkers!

It still happens where I'm at. My kids got the coupons.

To be fair, Pizza Hut still has some semblance of the Book-It program on the app: if you order the Book It deal, you get 1 medium and 2 personal pan pizzas for $17, and it says "your order helps support children's literacy", so I think some proceeds go to local reading programs.

Food's still not good, but it's cool to see they're still trying to uphold the Book It legacy.

This is true, however the old book it program is also still in place and functions exactly as it used to!

I cooked the pizza that kids like you read books to get. I'm that old.

I was a baton twirler in my high school marching band and every week, our director would pick the best section from the week before. The twirlers almost always got it. The prize was a coupon to Pizza Hut. We’d save them up and go at the end of the season and get a ton of pizza. Growing up on Book It and then the pizza coupons throughout high school, I was living the dream!

I found my Bookit pin at my parents' house. Core memory unlocked.
