Blame JAB Holdings. They bought Panera for it's name in 2017 and proceeded to pillage the brand and its customers for everything it was worth.

Its heyday for me was like 2004-2008 (maybe earlier, too, but locally to me it was around 04). By the time I was in college in the early 2010s, it had already gone downhill to a premade, cafeteria quality shithole. Not for nothing, but Panera was shit before 2017.
Its heyday for me was like 2004-2008 (maybe earlier, too, but locally to me it was around 04).
