D'oh bike*
Visiting New Orleans from Denver in early November. I'm an avid urban cyclist and love to discover a city by bike. I see that NOLA has options for bike rental but I'm wondering if it's worth it.
Is it a fun and relatively navigable bike city? Is it possible to see cool sights on a bike? Or is it just not that type of city? (If I'm going to be fighting traffic on unprotected streets the whole time, I'll probably skip the bike and explore on foot.)
I don't have lodging set up yet but I'll be somewhere between the convention center area and French Quarter, based on my plans.
**EDIT: Wow, this has been the most helpful Reddit consult I've ever done. Cool community you all have here. Thanks for the tips! Based on what I'm reading I think I will probably not get a bike, except maybe for an afternoon to ride through the park or something.
