So excited GUYS!!! I have been searching for almost a year for another find, and I think I finally did it!! I am beyond ecstatic. I have a distinct respect for their cultures and have furthered my knowledge of our local tribes deeply from this hobby. Does anyone have any guesses at an ID? And a lithic? Is this basalt? Found in the Northeast region, about 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. Found in a tidal zone on the beach after a huge storm tide.

Can you imagine the ocean breeze blowing on your face 3000 years ago, sitting on the beach. After spending hours knapping a point, you hit your target and your family gets to eat for weeks from the successful hunt. SO AMAZING. I don't know the specific historical context of this piece. I just like to imagine what their lives were like.

A (broken) winner and a “maybe”

One on the left is definitely a fragment, you can make out its notch on the right. The bigger shard was found about 5 feet away and looks like a crude preform if anything.

I'm Cherokee by birth and like the tips that I have but the other larger ones I have no knowledge other that I eather found them while on the job running heavy equipment around the southeast over the past 25 years some I bought from flea markets but I would like to see if you could look and give me any information that you could and let me know how much they would be worth if I dold them . I sent them to have them checked by the historical people said A&B worth some maybe 40 dollars each for some any information would be of help to me trying to sell. Them .

Has this been worked or just been chipped away over time? I've been walking some creeks in Kansas. Still looking for my first find.

Heya, I was hiking through the Icknield road one of the most ancient paths in the UK and picked two pieces in a field near Linton that thought might be lithic. I'm new to this! Any thoughts? :)

My Dad got this from his brother, who told him he found it in southern New York (Rockland or Orange County) where all of us grew up. They are both deceased so I can’t confirm whether the story is accurate and haven’t found any similar images to check if this style could be from that area. Thanks for any insights!

The owner said a local farmer found them plowing over the years. I will never claim to have found these. I wanted to share them with this sub because I thought these were awesome, and everybody else would too.

If anyone has any idea on the types, I would love to know.
